Dumb question, but is there a trick to setting desired temp? I've gone up and I've gone down, I've tried holding at a matter what it seems to always go back to 53.
spk on Jun 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It would be best to speak directly with our technical department at 800-648-6058 .If you check the manual or specs on our website, the Temperature Range for Left Side: 50-64°F; Temperature Range for Right Side: 54-64°F .
I understand that wider bottles reduce the capacity. What is the maximum height of a bottle?
A shopper on Aug 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Bigger issue is bottle diameter. Fat bottles make it difficult to open shelves and may not fit at all. Not sure of max diameter but a number of makers don't work well.
I am looking for a very silent wine cooler that can hold about 50 bottles. What would you recommend?
SeaMore on Mar 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Dear SeaMore, I recently purchased the Wine Enthusiast Silent 48 Bottle Touchscreen Double Door Dual Zone Wine Refrigerator and have been very happy with its performance. Comfortably holds 48 bottles at one of two temperatures. Very quiet and little temp variation.
I seek a shallow depth (20 to 22" max) solution for 100 bottles or more.
Could I stack two of these? Width available is 42" Height 84"+
Ned on Jan 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Calling the staff at W.E. is a good idea as they are VE RY HELPFUL, and knowledgeable. Do not stack these units. Also, if you plan to put these in a cabinet, be sure to talk to the staff. Many of their units will not work in cabinets and need at least 3+ inches of space around them.
Does this unit run constantly or does it cycle on and off? Can it be placed in a garage that can get to near 100 degrees in the summer and 35 degrees in the winter?
Thinker on Jul 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These units are designed to work in a climate controlled environment. Do not put them in garage or outside. Yes the 48 bottle unit does cycle on and off but it is so quiet I can't tell if it is running or not. Also, note that if you get a power outage or surge it will most likely go back to Celsius temperature.
What is the AC power consumption of the unit, and does it run all the time?
A shopper on Aug 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have noticed no increase in my electric bill since installing the unit. I cannot be more precise since I do not monitor individual appliances. The unit runs fairly consistently although, even as quite as it is, I do not believe it runs constantly. The unit keeps my wine at a constant 55 degrees in a room with an ambient temperature between 76 & 78 degrees
How far do the doors have to open for the shelves to pull out? I saw a review on one site which says they have to open 180-degrees. However, the pictures make it look like that's not necessary.
Michael T on Nov 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Shelves can be pulled out w/ doors open approximately 145 degrees.
where is the thermostat?
Alain on Nov 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question, on the Wine Enthusiast 48 Bottle Wine Refrigerator the controls are located on the face of each door at the top of the doors. They are touchscreen controls that allow for temperature settling and the light settings.
Can you separate the units? I would like to put one unit on Each side of my bar. Thank you
MARY T on Oct 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No they cannot be separated. It's only one unit. I'm very happy with my purchase. Also noiseless.
Does this wine fridge use peltier coolers or a compressor?
Corey R on Mar 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I believe it has no compressor because it will not increase temperature if the ambient is below 55. I keep it in my garage and it went down quite a bit in the winter. Called the company and they told me no compressor as it is designed to lower not raise temp. Since I only keep my reds in this it is not a problem. Cold will only delay maturing of reds not hurt them. Hope this helps.
We replaced the digital temperature touch panel on the left front side because it isn't showing the correct temperature but that hasn't corrected the problem. There is a red light that stays on in the back of the unit on the left side that isn't on in the right side which is the side that reflects the correct temperature. Could that red light indicate the problem?

Temperature in the unit is creeping up to 60 degrees when set point is 50 left and 55 right. Any suggestions on troubleshooting?
Steve on May 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I never had a similar issue but I would recommend making sure air circulates around the refrigerator. Try dropping the temperature below 50 & 55 to see if it responds. If not, you’ll need a technician.
What is the minimal venting space for this unit to perform properly? I have a nice spot that will provide approx 2-3 inches of space left, right and behind the unit and a few feet of open space above. Thanks.
S M on Oct 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 2-3 inches in the back is just fine. I've had mine for over a year and no problem with that little space. There are no vents on the sides.
How long does it take to cool to 54 degrees when first plugged in?
Marty on Oct 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'd say an hour or more. However, the more important question is when does the wine reach the temperature you desire (like when you add a bottle later). If you are in a hurry, I would turn the bottle a few times so the wine moves within the bottle. You can go on line and ask about temperature recommendations for various wines. One recommends keeping your unit at 55 degrees and then instructs you to chill the bottle for a short time in a refrigerator to chill it down a bit more (for white wines and champagne) or leave them sit at room temperature for a few minutes (like cabernet sauvignon) to let it get to 60 degrees.
What are the internal dimensions in each half of the unit - the width, height and depth of the cooling area?
Michael T on Nov 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Internal dimensions (inches); height: 28.7, width: 11.4, depth: 13.0. But, buyer beware...this is NOT a silent refrigerator. Being a thermoelectric unit, the fan runs 24/7/365, and one can hear it from 15 feet away. Recommendation: make the investment in a EuroCave; high quality AND quiet!
Does the unit retain temperature settings after a power outage?
metro on Aug 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Has anyone repaired or replace individual cooling units for triolgy stack units....60 bottles. Firm is out of business Torretta. They now sell an identical unit by another firm. thanks
Are the shelves fixed or can you adjust the distance between them, thus reducing the number of shelves to allow for larger bottles?
Pete on May 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hello Pete,
The shelves are fixed. However, you can remove a shelf to allow for more room if need be.
Thank you.
I like this product, but want it in black (including the double door trim) or white-wash oak. It will be used free-standing in my kitchen. Is this possible?
Richard on Jun 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your inquiry. We do have the same unit with black trim around the glass doors. The item number is 272 48 03 51W for your review. Thank you.
Can this unit be placed on carpeting?
Chris on Jun 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes this can be used on carpet. And if you want to protect your carpet you can use another material or a second layer of carpeting under the unit.
Does this lock?
Lisa on Feb 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hello Lisa,
Only the Stainless Steel Door option for this model has a lock.
Thank you
Do the shelves telescope? Not a single picture shows the unit with shelves extended.
Levon on Jan 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hello Levon,
These shelves are not. The Nfinity Pro HDX 46 shelves do extend to 90%.
The item number is 236 02 46 03.
Thank you

Pat on Nov 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: 1. During the checkout process they discuss extended warranties. This unit has an option for an additional 1yr extension warranty

Leftzone power problems?
I've had the unit two years - the left zone recently stopped working. Any advice on how to troubleshoot and fix it?
November 4, 2015
A great value for capacity and specifications
I've done a lot of research on wine fridges over the past few months. My absolute musts were something with over 30 bottle capacity and a thermo-electric cooling unit.

This product seemed to fit my needs perfectly. I'll admit, some of the the reviews made me very apprehensive. While looking around it seemed like unless I was willing to spend crazy gobs of money I'd have to make compromise.

So far this is turning out to be a great compromise of budget and features. According to a refrigerator thermometer it holds the temperature at a perfect, steady 55 degrees. Phew -- that was my biggest concern, seeing some of the other reviews.

The instructions do note a possible variance of +-7 degrees. I wonder if this has a lot to do with placement (near hot/cold) and/or fill capacity (i.e. all 48 slots in use). I have 26 bottles in my collection so far, spread evenly among either side of the fridge. We'll see how the mileage varies once I increase the bottle count.

My only gripe, albeit a minor one, is the fridge is not as "silent" as specified. The fan is constantly running and I've tested the decibel output to 53 decibels, which is almost double the advertised 30 decibels. Still, I can sit right next to the unit and the sound doesn't bother me -- 53 decibels is less than someone talking at a normal volume.

I can easily recommend this to anyone. Perhaps I'll notice some of the pain-points others have mentioned. If it comes to that I guess I'll have to update this.

This unit is awesome!
This unit holds its' temperature very well. It is also virtually silent. We really enjoy how the bottles fit into our unit and the easy accessibility to each bottle of wine. I have friends who bought knock-off brands and they are constantly complaining about temperature fluctuations. Spend the money and buy this unit. My only complaint was that the shipping company was pretty incompetent. Thanks to Allison, it got delivered and placed with no issues. I would definitely recommend this unit.

This is my second!
I now have 2 standing next to each other. The temperature stays constant and recovers after door opens. Interior shelves could be smoother when being moved, but it is perfectly functional and I'm planning to get another unit for my country house. I own one much more expensive unit and there is very
little difference.

Quiet as advertised
Very quiet product. We placed in our dining room and you can't even hear it. Only issue so far is the temperature doesn't exactly stay where it is programmed. But since it's within a couple degrees, I can live with that.

I am very disappointed in the storage capacity of this unit because it won't store Pinot Noir's or Bordeaux's without removing storage racks. This severely reduces the number of bottles we can store.

Right on the Money
Wine Frig arrived on time, in perfect condition and holds the expected 48 bottles at a constant temperature. We have 48 bottles of Italian red (Amarone, Brunello, and Chianti) and they are quietly cooling for our long term enjoyment

So Far not thrilled with Product
Received product in great condition, nice design, but does not keep temperatures to range on LED, almost always 6 to 7 degrees higher
February 5, 2015
Definitely silent.
I like the look, the construction, and best of all, the silence. My one and only complaint is that it does not hold the set temperature. It fluctuates 5 degrees constantly, both sides, depending on the temperature in my house. A few friends have asked my opinion and for that one reason, I cannot recommend it.

It's good, not great
I had the wine refrigerator delivered and it is a little noisier than I had hoped, even though it is in a different room, I can still hear it slightly. Also, I have some bottles of red that have longer necks on them and they do not fit into the refrigerator at all, so somewhat unhappy with that part. The shelves are not as sturdy as I have seen in other wine refrigerators, but for the number of bottles it holds and price, I think it is still a good deal, just not a great one.
