Lodi Wine Region
(Low · dye)
Lodi (“LOW-dye”) may not be the best-known American Viticultural Area (AVA) in California—Napa and Sonoma fight for that title—but true wine enthusiasts know that a 35-mile trip south on I-5 from Sacramento leads into the heart of one of the biggest, oldest and most important wine regions in all the state. In fact, it’s an area so large and abundant that it has seven subregions within its boundaries and offers up a vast selection of varieties and bottlings.
