How many wine bottles or gas applications each capsule last? Thank you
gustavobarbier on Oct 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello, the capsule with last 35 seconds. Which depending on your usage can be 5 to 6 or even as high as 10 to 11 bottles. It all depends on how long you would like to preserve your wine as well as how empty the bottle you are preserving is.

Great until you run out of gas
I bought this because it seemed like a good way to preserve an open bottle for a few days and I didn't want to drop several hundred dollars on a coravin. It did it's job admirably until I needed to get refill argon, that's where things went wrong. The canisters are only available from this website; the online shop for the original maker iFavine doesn't work. They're $2 more expensive than the coravin refills and on top of that Wine enthusiast charges $8.50 for shipping!!

Doing the math: every time I need more canisters I have to spend $10.50 more than I would have for the coravin. Given that I can get that on amazon or at bed bath and beyond for as little as $200 and the canisters are widely available w/o shipping charges it'll take me only 10 refill orders to spend more than I would have on a better preservation system.

Wine Enthusiast could do us all a favor and put this preserver and refills on their amazon store so the shipping is free, but unless/until they do that, do yourself a favor and go buy the coravin somewhere else.
