Comfort Cooking During Quarantine Guacamole Grilled Cheese and Chardonnay

Now that shelter-in-place is the new normal, people are home, bored and hungry! Silverado Vineyards winemaker Jon Emmerich has teamed up with James Beard award-winning author and cheese expert Laura Werlin to show you how to combine three of your favorites. Laura’s Chips & Guacamole Grilled Cheese Sandwich recipe from her book, “Grilled Cheese, Please!” is the perfect pairing with Chardonnay. In the video, Jon highlights two from Napa Valley’s iconic Silverado Vineyards.

The Vineburg Chardonnay is barrel fermented, with 93% in stainless steel barrels and 7% French oak barrels for those who prefer bright minerality. For a more classic style, the Silverado Estate Grown Chardonnay blends vibrant citrusy notes from our Vineburg Vineyard combined with rich tropical fruit nuances from our Firetree Vineyard.
