Fantastic Device
I was looking for a device to alarm me in case of a loss of electricity or dramatic spike in temperature in my wine cellar. This device fits the bill! The wireless device works through many walls and 50 feet away flawlessly. It texts me if certain triggers occur like a rise in temp over 60 degrees or a spike or fall in humidity.

packaging says the probe is optional and that the sensor inside the wine fridge should work without the probe. Couldn't get it to read temps without using the probe. Multiple calls to their customer support line with delays measured in days for a return call

I returned it. The temperature sensor didn't work. The gauge that retrieves data from the sensor didn't work. It is a very cheaply made device-that relies on AA batteries for its efficacy. I wouldn't rely on this for a valuable wine collection being monitored remotely for long periods of time. I hope to get my money back.

works as advertised
bought monitoring station and extra wireless censors for remote wine storage. system was easy to set up and once I figured out how to make home system recognize wireless unit, easy to install. Humidity sensor may not be as accurate.

Nice tool. Sends notices when there are changes.
