As the Beery Godmother,LaTreace Harris, an education consultant, brings the magic of education into taprooms and bars, developing curriculums to train restaurant staff on the proper serving techniques, history and styles of beer. She believes beer education grows both the business and the drinking community, forming a deeper relationship with the process and pint. Harris works with both beer novices and aficionados to further that mission and has also collaborated on beers with professional breweries that bring attention to important causes, including double New England-style IPA where proceeds went to a safe shelter for women survivors of domestic abuse.
