The Big Sipis more than a podcast, it’s a platform where Gabriela Fernandez elevates the voices of BIPOC tastemakers, innovators and changemakers. Born in Napa to a migrant farm worker and an immigrant refugee, she became acutely aware of the wine industry’s lack of recognition of Latinx contributions. Via The Big Sip, she cofounded Elevate Wine Series,providing personal and professional development through networking opportunities and education. She also cocreated the LatinX Wine Summit, a conference for Latinx wine professionals. “I firmly believe that we are stronger together and together is how we ultimately help one another grow,” she says.
