Will this tool remove champane corks as well?
Dan St on May 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The Blue Push-Button Corkscrew is wonderful. I bought several for friends and they love them too!! I am a little confused with your question about corks in the champagne bottles, since they are wired down, just keep them in the bottle. No, this electric corkscrew will not work on champagne corks, because there is a knob on the top, plus there is so much force inside champagne, it would shoot the cork, corkscrew and your hand into the ceiling. Opening champagne is easy; place a clean cloth over the top of the bottle, hold on tight and twist the bottle. Pow! It's off! But, get the Blue Corkscrew for wine. Works beautifully!! Enjoy!
Is this a wine opener that works by batteries? The one i want is the one that is plugged into the wall on electricity.

BEST ANSWER: This has a charger that plugs into the wall. When not in use, just rest the opener on the charger base to keep it charged. I love mine!!
Where do I open to replace the battery? Also what kind of battery?

BEST ANSWER: The Electric Blue Push-Button Corkscrew (Black) does not have a battery. It comes with a charger that plugs into a wall outlet. After using the corkscrew, you just replace it on the charger stand.

Is this item engraveable?
Shea S on Sep 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I can't see why you would need them as they are firmly set in the holder and very hard to misplace or lose (unless you simply need to preserve several bottles at the same time). That's never a problem in our house!

How does this cork handle older corks ? I had another manufacturer's electric push corkscrew and it got stuck ..both the bottle and device were lost. I need a new one!

Do not Buy- Terrible
This was an Xmas present and after charging for a few days would not even open one bottle of wine. The unit stops 1/2 way through the cork. I have requested a call from Wine Enthusiest to rectfy the issue. This is not a functional device, it's a toy. And a poorly designed one at that.

Uncorking made easy
I love this. It takes the effort out of removing corks and looks stylish as well. I would like to tsee the arrow buttons reversed on the next generation. Pushing the button that indicates "up" actually is "down."

Poor Qualtiy Product. Stay Away
This product is terrrible. The cork would not discharge. The unit was replaced and I had the same problem with the new unit. Wine Enthusiast did not back up the product and offered no helpful solutions. Complete waste of money.

Would Make A GREAT Christmas Present!
I have owned other electric openers, but this one is by far the best one. It is due to the clear vision and light for entering the cork. I plan on giving this for a Christmas present to several of my wine drinking friends ... who need speed!

Pretty but not long lasting
Like all the other electric openers, their lives are rather short. However, out of 4 total that I have pruchased in the last 2 years, this one did last the longest: about 6 months with roughly 5-6 uses per month.

They all just seem to run our of charge after 4-6 months. You cannot go wrong with a manual opener. Great for a few parties though.

Love the blue light!
Love this wine bottle opener. Would consider giving as a gift. Love the blue light which helps you to see where the cork is and if you are using the opener correctly.
