Wood racks typically hold larger quantities of wine and can be customized to fit in almost any location. When it comes to wine cellars, wood is the preferred material. The last step is choosing the design and specific type of wine rack. A lot of this is personal preference depending on the type of wine rack you find aesthetically pleasing, but your specific storage needs will also be a factor. For example, you may need to consider whether you have a large quantity of cases to store; if you need storage for large format bottles; if you want to display the label of your bottles versus the cork; etc.
