As the owner of Maryam + Company, Ahmed specializes in community activation, strategic programs and project management for food and wine brands with a commitment to diversity and sustainability. In 2022, she launched Field Blends, an immersive food and wine travel experience focused on opening conversations about what’s emerging in wine and agriculture that features tastings and local provisions with educational experiences and critical discourse. She is also the creator and cofounder of the biannual Diversity in Wine Leadership Forum, which brings together leaders of wine industry organizations with a commitment to equity and diversity and acts as a centralized list of ongoing initiatives. Ahmed also serves as an advisor to Black Wine Professionals and Bâtonnage Forum.
