Hawaii-based Ariana Tsuchiya is the sommelier and manager of restaurants and bars at G.Lion Hawaii who also doubles as a member of the board of directors and marketing and PR chair for the Aloha Wine Foundation (AWF). AWF focuses on providing scholarships and educational opportunities for the sommelier community in Hawaii and supporting young restaurant professionals through mentorship. As a member of the board, Tsuchiya says she has the opportunity to strengthen the local hospitality community as well as shed a light on the POC females within the sommelier sector of the industry.
