When she joined the family brewing’s business from the wine industry a dozen years ago, Allen was looking for creativity. She found it in lagers. Her father had started the brewery with a focus on the style back when ales dominated the craft space. Today, Allen focuses on tradition while pushing boundaries—consider her double-dry-hopped versions.

Her Pilsner scored 100 points from Wine Enthusiast earlier this year, and she is leading the way for more drinkers to discover lagers with flavor and soul.
