Raising the Bar

A bar visionary, Paylor created and served cocktails at some of Washington, D.C.’s biggest drinks destinations before she launched Focus on Health, a company that advocates for physical, mental, social, environmental and financial wellness for hospitality workers. As a trainer for D.C. nonprofit Safe Bars, she teaches people across the capital to deescalate conflicts while confronting sexual harassment and assault. She also researches and creates specialty ingredients for the menu at Silver Lyan, cocktail impresario Ryan Chetiyawardana’s first bar outside of Europe.
