Sherman cut his teeth as a sommelier at WD-50 and beverage manager at L’Artusi in the mean streets of New York City before heading west to serve as beverage director at SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. In 2011, he cofounded SevenFifty, a provider of web and mobile-based technology solutions for the alcohol beverage industry.

“There was a steep learning curve as I made the transition into technology entrepreneur,” says Sherman. Yet over the last decade, SevenFifty has created an online marketplace with 90,000 restaurant and retail buyers, and reached nearly $1 billion in sales volume in 2020.
