Head winemaker at Macari Vineyards for more than a decade, Koch delivers top-notch Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay sourced from the winery’s biodynamically farmed vineyards. Classic red and white expressions are the norm, but she also pushes the boundaries with textural wines that utilize concrete aging, like the Lifeforce Sauvignon Blanc. Her Cabernet Franc rosé is another innovation, bottle-fermented to yield a vibrant pink bubbly that’s hard to keep on the shelves. The University of California, Davis, grad and mother of two crafts a range of ciders as well. Made from New York-grown apples, they can be enjoyed on tap at the Woodside Orchards tasting room.
