An eye for apples

McGrath is a champion for cider, a role she takes seriously. Since she joined the United States Association of Cider Makers in 2016, McGrath has overseen initiatives that promote education through the association’s Certified Cider Professional Program. She’s also developed a cider style guide for consumers and has driven forward CiderCon, the industry’s annual conference. Formerly, she was executive director of Gorge Grown Food Network, where she worked with farmers, orchardists and chefs to build a thriving local food system for the Columbia River Gorge region.
