Washington Winery Needs a Name

What’s in a name? Well, some gratitude from the owners of the Washington Wine Company, for starters. If  you’ve got a knack for naming, try your hand at Washington Wine Co’s contest. The company is looking for the perfect name for a new ultrapremium Woodinville winery.

Slated to open in 2008, the new 12,000-square-foot winery will be located in the heart of the European-style Woodinville Wine Village. The focal point of the village, it will have a cozy, contemporary tasting room and a full catering kitchen for winemaker dinners. Upon opening, winemaker Jeff Schackman—previously of the Woodinville Wine Company—will create a distinct variety of wines for his newest endeavor.

The contest runs from April 6-May 30. The winner of the contest will receive two cases of Washington Wine Co.’s best wine each year for a decade. The prize will also include an annual private wine tasting hosted by the winemaking staff when the winners come in to pick up their yearly cases of wine.
