Product Development/Merchandising – Housewares
Wine Enthusiast, the world's number one source for wine storage, glassware and wine décor, is seeking a merchant with a background that includes technical product development skills in housewares gadgets and small electrics for multiple categories in E-commerce and catalog.

Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage categories to produce new and continuing product assortments that reflect market trends, match customer needs and respond to company initiatives and brand promise. Explore new business ideas that are innovative, demonstrable, and consumable.
  • Create merchandising assortment and strategies for the B to B and B to C divisions, with excellent margins and mass appeal.
  • Sourcing via Factory visits, trade shows and competitive market research.
  • Collaborate with management on the development and execution of merchandising, pricing and promotion
  • Partner with inventory planning to determine buys and rebuys and forecasting.
  • Initiate and generate business analysis to track selling, identify key trends and maximize opportunities in the assortment in order to achieve continued growth and profitability of the Retail and B to B divisions.
Must Have Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years professional experience in product development/merchandising
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and overseas
Must Have Characteristics:
  • Strong organization skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Natural collaborator able to work across different teams as well as directly with customers

Accounting Assistant Full Time
Wine Enthusiast Companies is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their Finance department working full time at their headquarters in Valhalla, NY. This position's main responsibility is to support accounts payable and accounts receivable with their daily and weekly functions.

Summary of essential job functions
  • Filing and scanning accounts payable invoices and check copies each week.
  • Assist with invoice matching process for accounts payable.
  • Fixed asset list management.
  • Assist with miscellaneous accounting projects, running reports, sending customer invoices.
  • Assist with human resources filing and clerical work.
Must have qualifications
  • 1 year administrative office experience
  • Experienced with Microsoft excel and windows knowledge
  • Associates degree in accounting or some accounting courses preferred
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience
Preferred technical skill
  • Experience with using accounting software, NetSuite and Multiview to enter invoices and Journal entries. We will train if the right person does not have this skill.

Internship Position - Digital Advertising Sales
Wine Enthusiast Magazine, the publishing division of Wine Enthusiast Companies, has an open internship position in our Digital Advertising Sales group. The ideal candidate should be a digital native with a strong desire to learn about the digital advertising ecosystem and associated best practices including the use of social media and email.

Areas of responsibility include the production of various online advertising promotions, the reporting of those campaigns and general support of our Digital Advertising team.

General duties Include:
  • Contacting clients to collect promotional assets for a variety of programs
  • Publishing sponsored content to our social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest
  • Working with Editorial team to produce weekly newsletters
  • Assisting in weekly reporting of all digital adverting programs, including pulling analytics, screenshots and compiling wrap up reports
  • Assist in production of adverting programs such as dedicated emails, banners campaigns and sponsored social posts
  • Assist in compiling promotion strategy for large digital adverting programs
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
  • General knowledge of the online advertising space
  • Experience with posting to a variety of social media platforms
  • The ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
  • Great communication and organizational skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite skills are a plus

Podcast Producer – Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Contract/Freelance
Wine Enthusiast Media seeks an experienced freelance audio and podcast producer to lead the development and production of our original bi-weekly podcast program, now in its second year. This is an approximately 20-hour-per-week project and offers the chance to refine a popular product for our national media brand, managing the product from start to finish.

The Podcast Producer will be responsible for the nuts and bolts of production, from shaping the episodes and transforming our wealth of print journalism into original storytelling, to final scripting and audio editing. The Podcast Producer will liaise with the Digital Content Director and other staff editors based in our Valhalla, NY office.

Responsibilities include:
  • Creating an overall unique and recognizable aural identity for the podcast.
  • Producing 2 complete podcast episodes per month and publishing the completed episodes to various podcast distribution networks.
  • Coaching and working hand-on with hosts and contributing editorial guests, including collaboration in the shaping of stories and features.
  • Facilitating monthly pitch meetings, and weighing in on which story pitches are selected and how each episode will be structured.
  • Writing host scripts for each episode (e.g. a top-of-the-show billboard, intros/outros to show segments, segues between segments, closing credits).
  • Provide monthly analytic data per episode along with a monthly summary of this data and recommendations for improvement based on the data.
  • Assess current field recording equipment, and suggesting improvements.
The ideal producer will be available/amenable to in-person meetings in our Valhalla, NY offices for technical consulting, recording services, and other needs that might arise. Where travel is necessary, expenses will be reimbursed. Attention to project details, a sense of urgency and deft reaction to the exciting but dynamic podcast environment are essential.

Customer Service Representative
The Wine Enthusiast, a direct marketing and e-commerce leader in providing wine accessories, racking, and complete wine cellars is seeking to add articulate and dependable professionals to our Customer Support Division at our headquarters in Valhalla, NY. The key to being a successful Customer Service Representative at the Wine Enthusiast is knowing how to always put the customer first. We ensure our customers receive timely, accurate and knowledgeable information as well as assistance and accuracy processing their orders.
