Digital Advertising Coordinator

Wine Enthusiast Magazine, the publishing division of Wine Enthusiast Companies, has an opening in its Digital Media group for a Digital Advertising Coordinator. This position will provide project management along with production duties and general support for digital media campaigns running on Wine Enthusiast’s digital properties including WineMag.com, social media channels, email and ThirstyNest.com.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Digital Advertising Director, Digital Advertising Producer and Account Executives to execute and report on digital advertising campaigns for clients
  • Act as a point of contact for clients and agencies for digital advertising programs post-sale
  • Traffic assets for digital advertising programs including; display, social media, web, email, and completely custom content campaigns
  • Create, manage and update sponsored content on the Wine Enthusiast website, social media platforms and other digital properties
  • Launch and manage paid Facebook advertising campaigns
  • Work with editorial team to produce several weekly and monthly newsletters
  • Generate comprehensive wrap-up reports for advertisers and management by assembling media metrics and screenshots of campaign components

To be successful you must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study (advertising, marketing, business, etc.)
  • 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Intermediate understanding of online advertising.
  • Familiarity with online publishing and advertising on social media platforms
  • Utilize strong problem solving & analytical skills
  • Solid computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Power Point & Photoshop. NetSuite is a big plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and complete large volume of work in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced publishing environment both independently and cooperatively within a team.
  • Proven track record of exceptional performance: high productivity while meeting deadlines.

Wine Storage Product Manager

Wine Enthusiast Companies, the ultimate source of innovation and information around wine, is seeking a Product Manager to concentrate on the development of wine storage appliances and electronics. This position is both technical and sales focused with an orientation toward daily vendor communications, new product creation and introduction, as well as general product management, database management and information coordination.

The key responsibilities of this position will be to:

  • Monitor competitive activity and product line positioning. Understand competitive product offerings, features, benefits and competitive advantage
  • Determine the products' main selling points and support the Sales & Marketing teams with accurate product information and sales tools to optimize the products' presentation to distribution customers and end users.
  • Maintain all the technical aspects of our products.
  • Ensure accuracy and serve as the central resource for product specifications, testing, and quality.
  • Supervise, monitor and manage 3rd Party test labs during product testing and ensure the testing reports from 3rd Party labs are issued in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate on development of marketing materials (user manuals, spec sheets, etc.) as well as sales support tools (e.g., catalogs, sell sheets, price lists, etc.).
  • Participate in assigned customer support such as preparation of line reviews, trainings, new product presentations, marketing requests, promotions and other related tasks
  • Work with technical support, manufacturing and sales to develop collateral materials, web content and enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).
  • Assist with product development, including product changes and product promotions, specifying components, packaging content and design, product positioning, catalog and sell sheet copy, as required.
  • Assist in guiding the marketing communications team in delivering on integrated communications goals between catalog and online assets.
  • Collaborate with the Director on product planning and product line review process. Provide key insights on consumer and market trends. Work collaboratively to identify and evaluate new products, line extensions, and SKU rationalization opportunities.
  • Participate in annual strategic planning process.
  • Travel internationally to suppliers and factories.

Must have Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ consumer product management experience
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Clear and effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and effective multiple project management
  • Natural desire and potential to take on greater responsibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable business experience.

Customer Service Representative

The Wine Enthusiast, a direct marketing and e-commerce leader in providing wine cellars, racking and wine accessories is seeking to add an articulate, friendly and dependable professional to our Customer Support Division at our new headquarters in Valhalla, NY.

The key to being a successful Customer Service Representative at the Wine Enthusiast is knowing how to always put the customer first. We ensure our customers receive timely, accurate and knowledgeable information as well as assistance and accuracy processing their orders.

The main responsibilities of our CS representatives include:

  • answering in-bound customer calls
  • communicating with customers via email & Live Chat
  • commanding thorough product knowledge of our merchandise
  • processing customer orders accurately and quickly via our computer system
  • assisting customers with product selection and questions
  • processing and resolving customer inquiries promptly

Assistant Digital Editor

The ideal Assistant Digital Editor candidate has excellent writing and editing skills, is proactive, creative, organized and has an eye for detail. In addition to daily digital production support, the assistant editor may be included in conceptualizing editorial projects and campaigns; write trends-driven wine and spirits content and help to execute a variety of digital packages with the senior editors. This is a hands-on job that involves direct interaction with a network of international writers and editors as well as daily production tasks for the Wine Enthusiast magazine website, Winemag.com.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Detailed fact-checking under the advisement of senior editors
  • Write headlines and excerpts for articles based on SEO best practices
  • Produce articles and other web-exclusive content via WordPress CMS from start to finish, as well as converting pieces from our print magazine via InDesign into WordPress, in accordance with our monthly editorial calendar
  • Coordinate with our Tasting & Review department to produce trend stories and wine recommendation round-ups
  • Pitch and write shorter news and trend pieces to run on winemag.com
  • Keep the homepage and other sections of winemag.com up-to-date with the latest editorial content
  • Assist in basic photo research and occasional image sourcing under the advisement of the art team
  • Maintain daily production schedule

Desired Experience and Skill Set:

  • Solid writing, grammar and line-editing skills
  • Broad experience in digital media and/or an ability to pick up and learn new software and technology in a timely manner
  • Experience in WordPress or similar CMS highly desired
  • Attention to detail and deadlines, and must have experience multitasking and tracking many projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) helpful
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and keyword research, or the ability to learn
  • Previous experience in the food and beverage industry and/or familiarity with wine a plus
