what is the noise decibel rating
OZ on Jun 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hello OZ,
Approximately 54 to 55 DBA.
Thank you
Which of your units can be vented to the outdoors?
Patrick on Apr 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They say that all of the units can be vented externally, but I ordered this unit first and then upgraded to the more powerful unit. This unit did not move enough air for my cellar, but the next size up is great! I doubt that this unit has the airflow required to be externally vented, but you need to check with the manufacturer.
I would like to vent into a large cedar closet which of course has clothes stored in it. I am aware the purpose of venting is to get and exhaust air. Does a tremendous amount of heat get exhausted or do you think the clothes will be fine?
Michael on Oct 17, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The air exhaust is warm and 20 degrees Fahrenheit above the temperature of the room it is emitted into, therefore the safety of your clothes depends on the temperature of your closet.
I'M BUILDING AN UNDER THE STAIR CELLAR, (PRETTY SMALL ) IN A BASEMENT , DO YOU THINK THIS UNIT WILL BE TOO LARGE FOR THIS CAPACITY? I SEE SOME OTHER UNITS ARE FOR UP TO 250SQ FT , WOULD THIS BE A BETTER SIZED UNIT?

BEST ANSWER: In order to properly answer your question, there are many questions we will need to ask you to confirm this application. Please call our storage consultants at 800-377-3330 to confirm the best option for your wine cellar.
I am creating a 750 cubic foot well insulated room (2 x 6 wood frame with foam board and moisture resistant sheetrock with only one layer of foam and same sheetrock in ceiling and concrete floor)in the cellar here in New Hampshire. I am trying to decide between a EuroCave INOA 600 Wine Cellar Cooling Unit and a Wine Guardian 1110. The back wall of the wine room abuts a half height packed earth floor with a strong plastic tarp sealed at edges so that space can get down to 49 or so in the winter. In the summer the highest temps are about 71. I have dozens of bottles to age so humidity is also a bit of an issue. Any advice? Thanks! Michael

Can. This unit be vented outside? Or. Does it have to vent to an adjacent inside. Room?
Bert on Feb 4, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The warm air exhaust can be vented outside with a optional ducting kit. - But will need to vent to adjacent interior space for the intake air. Please contact one of our storage specialists for further details at 800 377 3330.

Wine Guard
Our wine cellar is quite small - less than 200 cu ft. It is well insulated with a vapor barrier and an insulated and sealed exterior door opening into the house. The system vets into a garage and as we live in Oregon it doesn't get too hot - 85 deg in the summer.

Once it was installed we were very pleased with the noise level however it took over a week to cool down to 58 deg. It now holds at this temperature and cycles on an off once or twice an hour.

The only drawback I have found is that the capacity is somewhat lacking so I find it doubtful that it could be used in a wine cellar of 800 cu ft or if the insulation isn't up to specification I have in mine. Neither would it be adequate in warmer locations such as CA or AZ.
