Hi - the item is described as being available with a lock, but the product specifications say there is no lock. How can I be sure to get the model with the lock?
Jill C on Sep 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We have recently added a lock to this unit. We are only selling this unit now with a lock. If you place an order it will come with a lock.
Is this designed for Bordeaux style bootles or does it comfortably house larger bottles without removing shelving?
Jill Y on Aug 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi this is rated for standard Bordeaux bottle. The larger format bottles would require moving some shelves out to accommodate them reducing bottle count anywhere between 20-25%
Would there be an issue with this refrigerator if it was kept in a garage? Does the unit have to be in an air conditioned space?
Marianned M on Aug 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This unit is not meant to go in a garage, it needs to be in a space where the ambient temperature is 60-77 degrees F.

Quite an improvement!
This new unit was a warranty replacement for a now discontinued compressor-style cooler. Thanks to the outstanding customer service from Wine Enthusiast for doing the exchange! This unit is much quieter and more effective as far as keeping the correct (and lower) zone temperatures. The physical separation between the 2 zones really helps, as well as moving the lower temperature zone to the bottom half. Hopefully, the long-term reliability will be better as well.

Not worked well
The set temperatures do not stay. They change consistently up and down at will. The good news is they are replacing the equipment so I trust the new one will work as expected.
