Do Pinot Noir and other larger bottles fit? Or are the shelves reversible in order to fit larger bottles?
eb1973 on Dec 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the shelves are reversible. You don't have to remove any. The top and bottom shelves accommodate larger bottles anyway, and you can flip a wire shelf or two if you need more space. I have 27 bottles in mine now, including 11 pinot or champagne bottles. I only flipped one shelf.
What is the wire gauge of the electrical cord?
Colby M on Aug 30, 2015

Not sure why you need to know, but it is standard appliance cord. I suspect it is 12 or 10 gauge wire. Nothing special. Does the job nicely.

I only drink and serve red wine... no white.
So is this wine refrigerator my best bet to store red wine only?
Terry on Nov 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: You can store red wine bottles but please the temperature range is 52 - 65°F. So it depends at which temperature you like your red wine.
What is the humidity level of this unit?
Tamisha on Dec 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: These are a thermoelectric cooling system, they do not maintain humidity. They only maintain a steady storing temperature. Our Eurocave wine cabinet offer humidity maintenance along withe our N'Finity HDX line
what is the decibel level of this unit when operating?
steve h on Sep 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: According to an app on my phone: from about one foot away, it's 10-15 DB. The maximum I could get, which is right next to it near the back is 30 DB. Hope that helps!
Where does the heat come out? The front or the back? It appears to be the back but there is NO diagrams. I need any warm air to flow out the back of the unit to an open space. Thank you.
Steve B on Oct 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The air exhaust is through the back of the unit. The front is display and door only
I plan to fit this wine cooler in a boxed cabinet with open spaces underneat 2.5"H x 14"W x 24"D (note: Front side open to the room)...
And I have spaces around unit 3"top, 1" each side and 3" back side.
So it will be Good for air circulation?
Also your 2 back fans are flow out or suck air inside the unit?

Mitch on Jan 20, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your inquiry. Although we highly recommend that any thermoelectric unit be freestanding, as long as you leave 4" all the way around the unit, the 28 should be fine in terms of operation. Regarding the two back fans, they are blowing the warm air away from the unit(exhaust). If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to us at 800 356 8466. Thank you again.
Do the shelves slide out smoothly in order to access the wine bottles?
m t on Jan 3, 2016

How do you turn it off ?

Am I required to be home for delivery?
Kevin A on Sep 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They do require someone to be there to accept the delivery, but the company that delivered my unit were very accommodating and flexible.
Hello! I just received this wine cooler and plugged it into an outlet per the instruction manual. The touchscreen has not lit up. Is there an on button?
BeckyH. on Aug 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No. There is no on/off button. Supposed to automatically go on. One question for you, does your cooler constantly make a humming sound like a fan is constantly running?
We have an 18" deep bar, does this unit require any additional depth besides the 17 3/4" for installation?
Jackie L on Jul 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I think you should be OK, but are we talking about the same dimensions? My cooler is 17 3/4 deep and 20 3/4 wide. I would also think a bit about whether that 1/4 inch allows for some circulation to get rid of any heat buildup.

Finally, although advertises=ed as "silent," I find that my unit is quiet, but not silent.
The unit is running, but the temperature remains higher than the setting? Made a rumbling sound a couple of weeks ago. Set temp up to
57 and registering 65. rumbling stopped.
Prentice P on Dec 26, 2017

I don't live in the US, however I go very often there. Do you guys think it's possible to dispatch it with my luggage? Or does it need any additional care to dispatch it?
Claudio on Sep 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The size and weight of the unit in the box, would be considered over weight and over sized. The airline cargo fees may be cost prohibitive.
Why do you need to remove the wine when away for 3 weeks or more?
Frank S on Jun 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If you are so worried, drink the precious liquids before leaving .
CONSTANCE on Jul 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The lowest temperature is 54 degrees.

Does this unit have wheels on the bottom so it can be easily moved around?
melissa on Feb 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No Wheels. Wine should not be moved around.
I have 2 of these - can they be stacked?
Lauren on Jun 27, 2013
BEST ANSWER: No, not on each other .However, if you build a support shelf approx 3 to 4 " above the bottom unit and leave the proper clearances around it that would work. The units needs air all around them.
What are the dimensions??
Raymo on Oct 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Approx18" wide, 21" deep, 28" high.
Darren, I appreciate your response. Just to be clear. Measurements are in feet not inches. Do you still think I will not have enough ventilation?
Javier G on Feb 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello Javier, you will be ok if the measurements were in feet.
Will this fridge work in Tokyo, Japan?
BG on Jun 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This fridge is built to work off a 110 volt 60 hz current. If that is what the electrical current is in Tokyo you will be in luck. If it is not, then this will not work without a converter.
The unit always seems to be running, and is never completely silent. Is this normal?
B4 on Dec 22, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes that is normal. What you are hearing is the fan. The thermoelectric units use a thermostat and fan to control the temperature.
Is there any problem with putting a DVD, cable box, and TV set (flatscreen LCD) on top of this unit?
bj on Mar 19, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The only issue may be if the heat that comes off the DVD,cable box and TV has an impact on the air surrounding the unit. Remember this unit shoiuld be placed in an area that does not exceed 77 degrees. Just make sure you leave 3-4" of ventilation on the sides, top and back of the unit so the heat can exhaust from the unit.
how many Kw per month does one unit consumed?
fluffy.. on Jul 20, 2012

kimmy on May 27, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Hello Kimmy,
The silent units run off a standard 110 3 prong outlet.
You may or may not need some time of converter. Please contact our technical department @ 1-800-648-6058 and press option 2 if you have any further questions.

Can I put this under a counter ?
g on May 1, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The 28 Bottle is not made for a built in application, it does require two or three inches of air space all around it. Please call 1-800-377-3330 for assistance on a built in unit for your application.
The manual states that the ambient temperature should be between 77 and 80.6 degrees. Is this correct? The website states that 77 degrees is the maximum ambient. Which of these is correct?
Ted on Dec 3, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. While the 28 bottle can handle up to 80 degrees, our recommendation is locate the unit in an air conditioned space where ambient temp will not exceed 77 degrees. I hope this clears things up and if you have any further questions, feel free to contact a Storage Consultant at 800.377.3330. Thank you again.
Does the touchscreen allow you to lock the door?
null on Nov 13, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The 28 bottle touchscreen does not have a lock, however the 28 bottle with the stainless steel trim does. Any other questions please call 800-377-3330.

I noticed a few drops of water in the center of the unit which is draining to the water box. Is this expected and how often do I need to drain/clean the water box? How do I clean the water box, it seems attached to the unit.
Eric on Sep 19, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Condensation is to be expected in the unit to help maintain a moist cork. We recommend wiping the bottom of the unit about every 4 to 6 months. It is not necessary to empty the water box in the back of the unit, this condensation should evaporate into the air. If you have additional questions please call out Technical department at 1-800-648-6058 and a rep will be happy to answer any other questions. Thank you for your question today.

Wine Refrigerator
This refrigerator is quiet and seems to keep the temperature that I have chosen. The size is not small or too large for the amount of wines that I have. But I am repeating the most important aspect of this refrigerator is that it is quiet.

Works Great
Bought the large wine credensa a year ago with 2 of these units one on each end and the wine drawers in the middle.

Work fine, but now a fan is going out and it's loud... need to find some replacement fans and stock up on them

Extremely Noisy
Received this cooler as a gift for Christmas so i've been using it at my house since it arrived January 2015 and can say that this is a really loud cooler.

Not quite sure how this product qualified to have the word 'silent' in it's title, but can verify that mine is not.

Works great so far. I do wish I could dim the temperature display. It Is way too bright for me.

Great product at a great price
Our new cooler is used as a storage facility with temperature control. We use it for our whites.
It is very quiet'.A big plus since we live in a condo with limited space.
We had a smaller unit from Wine Enthusiast that worked very well until a circuit board died. Rather than repair the unit, we decided to purchase a larger cooler from Wine Enthusiast.
The new unit only has a single temperature zone setting. Our old one had two zones.. Sadly, we use the old unit as a storage facility that now has only one temperature control that cannot be changed. It is perfect for our reds.

Shelves are a little tight
Other than that, it seems to be working great. We've had it less than a month so there isn't much else to report.

Good Enough for my needs
Ok, bought a Siena Wine Credenza (not here as it was cheaper with shipping elsewhere) but I called Wine Enthusiast to order the 2ea 28 bottle Silent Touchscreen fridges... they work well, though 52 degrees is a cold as it gets...and the fans are a tad noisy.

My problem is getting replacement fans... using the part number on the fan you can find many on the internet and locally at computer parts places but they do not fit at all.. so I called Wine Enthusiast, and ordered the fans since they have my order on file, yet I get the same fans I can buy elsewhere and thus do not fit.

I need replacement fans or I have to buy new fridges and these aren't even 2 years old yet. Sucks when you can't get the correct fan fro the place you bought the fridge.

Quiet, Works Great
We've had this baby for almost a year now. The most important thing to us is that it's quiet, as we live in an apartment. It's completely silent most times. When the fan kicks on, you can hear it, but it's a quiet hum and doesn't bother us at all. It looks very nice -- not at all cheap (we have the all-black front) -- and it can hold wide pinot noir and champagne bottles. We flipped a couple of the shelves upside down to make more space. It's now holding 27 bottles plus 2 thinner bottles that we use to preserve wine that's already opened. It does a great job of keeping the temperature steady. We keep it at 55 and we keep it full. If we run low on wine, we'll put water bottles or beer bottles in there to keep the temperature regulated.

My only complaint is the light. The inside light is completely useless. It doesn't illuminate anything. But the blue temperature light on the outside is so bright that it lights up the whole apartment at night. I think you could read by it! We have to cover it with a towel or close the bedroom doors.

I received this wine refrigerator as a wedding gift and couldn't be happier with it. It looks great, holds more than enough wine and is easy to set to the perfect temperature.
