Wine Enthusiast Silent 24 Bottle Touchscreen Wine Refrigerator (2-Temp) Q: There is a small amount of water in the upper compartment in one of the corners. What would cause this? Should we be concerned? Asked on 6/30/2012 by Steve from Rome, GA Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Great question Steve! Yes, these units can produce a little bit of moisture in the more humid summer months depending on the humidity in the environment where the unit is located. As long as it is minimal it is a non issue and can even help the corks stay moist. But if it becomes excessive please contact our Technical Support Department at 800-648-6058 ext 2. Thanks! Wine Enthusiast Silent 24 Bottle Touchscreen Wine Refrigerator (2-Temp) Q: How long does it take for the refrigerator to reach the preferred temperature, ie 55 degrees? Asked on 6/22/2012 by H from pasadena,ca Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Depending on the temp and amount of bottles you put in between 12-24 hours. They begin to cool immediately - but do not shock cool to bring the liquid temperature down. Answered on 6/25/2012 by Michael from Wine Enthusiast
Wine Enthusiast Silent 24 Bottle Touchscreen Wine Refrigerator (2-Temp) Q: What is the approximate humidity level maintained in the unit? Is there any humidification or dehumidification built into the unit or do you "get what you get" based on the set temperature? Thanks. Asked on 3/7/2012 by Brenda from Tennessee Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The unit slow cools so it does not dry out the air like a airconditioner or refrigerator. It will maintain the humidity in the air so there is no set humidity. If you need more humidity you can put a small tray of water in the unit(just a suggestion) Answered on 3/9/2012 by Adam from Wine Enthusiast
Wine Enthusiast Silent 24 Bottle Touchscreen Wine Refrigerator (2-Temp) Q: Is this deep enough to hold Alsatian bottles? Asked on 2/7/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Yes. The tall hock wine bottles used for Alsace wines are typically 3/4 liter/25-26 oz. capacity and 12-13" tall. The interior of this cellar is exactly 13" deep. The doors also have an additional 3/4" indent allowing for even taller bottles. Hope that helps and enjoy! Answered on 3/6/2012 by Rich from Lake Oswego, OR A: Yes, most 750 ml Alsatian bottles should fit in that unit. Answered on 2/8/2012 by Anonymous from Wine Enthusiast
Wine Enthusiast Silent 24 Bottle Touchscreen Wine Refrigerator (2-Temp) Q: If all red and white wines store at 55 degrees, what is the point of having a range of temperatures? Is it personal preference? Some people like the wine cooler than 55 and some may like it warmer. Or is the preferred procedure for serving to lower the temp use your regular refrigerator and to warm at room temp? I need more information. What do you suggest as a resource(s)? Asked on 12/29/2011 by Lewie from Virginia Beach, VA Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: You are correct that for long term storage all wines should be stored as close to 55 as possible. Some people do a lot of entertaining and want service temperatures. General rule is that red wines serve at approx 65 degrees and white wine at approx 45 degrees. The 2-temp model is for people who do entertaining at home and do not have the time to wait ½-1 hr for the wine to warm up or chill down for service temperatures. Some people just want the flexability Answered on 1/2/2012 by Adam from Wine Enthusiast
