I would say yes as long as the ambient temperture does not exceed 77 degrees.
I received this unit from a friend when the touchscreen stopped working. Is there an easy fix? Replacement parts? Any help?
Red wine service temperature should be between 63-68 degrees, while white wine service temperature should be between 45-50 degrees. Storage temperature for all wine should be between 53-57 degrees. Thank you.
This unit cannot bring a compartment with 6 bottles of wine to 46 degrees. It also cannot manage a large spread between compartments. One time, I managed to see 11 degrees of difference between compartments - but 9 is more typical and 10 can happen.
I got this for myself as a Christmas present - intending one compartment for white and one for red. I am operating it that way and continuing to search for a relaxation of my expectations that the unit can achieve.
It's actually not a bad unit - just over stated in capability. It will not meet the claimed specs. However, if you are happy with a 50 degree compartment and a 60 degree compartment, with noticeably more noise than "silent" to get your wines "close" to optimal temperature - this is a moderately priced unit that will probably meet your needs.
It's been in operation for about 2 weeks - so I can't comment on longevity.
I would recommend this unit only if the friend understood the product capabilities. I would not recommend it based on the claimed performance.
After 1 year of use, I walked in from running errands last week to see the right side temp over 100 degrees Farenheit. Left side was still cooling but the temp had risen by more than 10 degrees from its setting.
I dusted the grill and reseated the fan power supply on the circuit board and it held to 60 degrees for 1 week, then failed again. It now sits unplugged in the corner.
Until that temp failure, overall I was pleased even though it didn't achieve the white/red side temps like I had initially hoped.
For limited space storage and cooling in an apartment, this was perfect while it worked.
I am disappointed in the temp failure. Hesitant to see what harm was done to those 6 bottles that were exposed to the high temps.
