Is it best to apply the inert gas as soon as bottle is opened, even before pouring the first glass? Also, how long can I expect the opened, corked wine to stay preserved after inert gas has been applied?

BEST ANSWER: It is best to add the gas after the pouring of the glass. It is only necessary to spray the inert gas after you are done with the wine and you go to put it back in your cellar or storage unit. The gas should do the job for 3-5 days.

I would highly recommend this product. It is very easy to use, and very effective. I will often leave a particular bottle, before Iopen it up (a second time), and it is a good the second time around !

Private Preserve Preservation Set
Despite the much more elaborate and expensive systems for preserving opened bottles, I have found this simple inexpensive system to work extremely well, with wine staying fresh for many weeks.

I think it works
I'm pretty sure I'm getting longer storage at room temperature for my reds, and I really like the 6 bottle stoppers.
