The good thing about this trivet kit is that it is designed for the purpose of holding used corks. I have tried to retro-fit other types of picture frames to support 50-60 corks and the finished product does not come out as well.
The bad thing abouth this kit is the dimensions. Either way you arrange your corks, they come out too long or too short. In the instructions they recommend you have a sharp knife handy to customize sizes. You'll need it.
Overall it was a fun and rewarding project. We intentionally chose winery names which had significance to the family members who will now receive these as gifts.

We ordered five of these kits. We found four of them to be of such poor quality and workmanship that we returned them. Moreover, the size is wrong for common-sized corks. It is one-half inch too wide forcing one to saw corks in half to get a tight fit. The design opted for squareness which creates the problem. A few years ago we bought one of these in oak (rather than maple)and found the fit and finish to be superior to the maple. WineEnthusiast is no longer offering oak.

Comments about Wine Cork Trivet Kit (Maple):
I bought them to give to neighbors and friends next holiday season. Some I will just give corks to and others I will assemble for them-that is to guarantee they will have a finished product. My husband gave me the tray for Christmas and I just love it and receive many compliments. Of course, we may need some level of rehab after we supply all of the necessary corks.

Comments about Wine Cork Trivet Kit (Maple):
These are great products, the trivets as well as the boards. It has become a hobby for me and my husband; he designs and I glue. We started giving the trivets away as gifts; made a corkboard for our office and a corkboard for our niece in college. We are ready to complete two more trivets and will do our first server.
GREAT IDEA for corks.

Comments about Wine Cork Trivet Kit:
I love the concept of this! It looks great on my table as my decor in my kitchen is all about wine! It works great & looks great but I had some difficulty in creating it. They should have made the dimensions a little smaller. I had to cut the corks so there wasn't gaps, but overall I like the product & would buy it again & give it as a gift.
