Wine Enthusiast chose the image of bon vivant Winston as its original logo in 1979. Now,
almost 30 years later, we've taken Winston into the new century. The character who was
first seen sipping a glass of wine is no longer keeping the wine to himself—he’s raising a
glass and toasting wine lovers everywhere. Look closely and you’ll see that he, as well as
we, are going outside the box. The jacket and tie are gone, replaced with a more casual
sweater, projecting an image not just of the contemporary wine drinker, but of wine itself:
the beverage that is becoming more approachable and more a part of everyday life. With
his raised glass and his engaging smile, Winston overlooks all parts of our company, from
content to commerce to events.
