The Wine Enthusiast Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THIS CONTEST

TERM: This sweepstakes will run from 01/02/06 to 2/28/06.

PRIZE: One winner will receive the grand prize of a $2006 gift certificate.

ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning will be determined by the number of entries received.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST: You are automatically entered into the Sweepstakes when you complete and transmit the on-line entry form before 11:59 p.m. EST of the last day of the sweepstakes. Contestants may also enter by hand printing their complete name, address, e-mail address and contest closing date on a 3' X 5' piece of paper. Mail your entry to: The Wine Enthusiast Sweepstakes, 103 Fairview Park Drive, Elmsford, NY 10523. There is no need to enter by mail if you enter on-line, as only one entry will be accepted per person. Mail entries must be postmarked by the last day of the month to be eligible for that month's contest. The Wine Enthusiast is not responsible for transmission and/or computer error or mail entries that are late, lost, misdirected or have insufficient postage. Winners will be selected by random drawing. The Wine Enthusiast reserves the right to modify scheduling of the contest without prior notice.

NOTIFICATION:The Prize winner will be notified via e-mail unless specified otherwise by contestant. The prize winner's name will be posted on our site. Prize winners do not need to be on-line at time of notification.

REDEMPTION: A Wine Enthusiast representative will contact the prize winner to schedule delivery of the prize after confirming eligibility.

ELIGIBILITY: This sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years or older. Employees and their immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter and spouse) of The Wine Enthusiast, and participating sponsors are NOT ELIGIBLE. Limited to one prize per person.

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW: This contest is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

CONDITIONS: The Wine Enthusiast and participating promotional companies are not in any way liable for damage, loss or injury resulting from computer malfunctions, misdirected or incomplete entries or acceptance and use of the prize. Winners assume liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participation in this Contest, or the use or misuse of any prizes. The Wine Enthusiast reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this sweepstakes should virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of sponsor, corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the sweepstakes. Winners may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and release which must be completed and returned within 21 days of notification or an alternate winner will be selected. Taxes, and additional shipping, handling and delivery fees in excess of the prize amount, if any, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. By registering to win the prize, the winner grants The Wine Enthusiast permission for the use of his/her name and likeness for advertising and future promotion purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited). Un-accepted prizes may not be awarded. The prizes cannot be substituted and are not transferable. No cash in lieu of a prize will be awarded. This contest is subject to these complete and official rules and by entering each participant accepts and agrees to these rules. A statement of how the odds were determined, how the winner was selected and the winners names will be made available upon request.
