Bold yet dignified, like the finest spirits. From the moment you feel its weight in your hand, you realize this is no ordinary glass. The base alone is 1-1/2" thick, a solid foundation for substantive walls with a cross-pattern cut exuding character. Plenty room for ice.

impressive
We really like this glass, but not sure about dishwasher safe (although we did wash it in the dishwasher and it came out fine). It's big to hold for someone with a small hand, and heavy, but very impressive. It makes drinking bourbon very special.

Happy Customer...
I've been looking for unique, high quality tumblers and these are it. The bottom of the glass is a hefty chunk of solid glass, but the rest is very thin, which is what I prefer to sip from. It's a nice balance. I'm a vodka drinker and when I poured my brother a glass the other night his first comment was on how nice the glass was.

I wouldn't put these in the dishwasher and I certainly wouldn't press them up against the ice-dispenser on the freezer for fear of breaking. I handwash these only.

I google-imaged "whiskey tumblers" and after looking at over a hundred I found these to be the nicest.

Total Guy Glasses
This is a total guy glass in that it looks very cool to drink with your friends and as a conversation piece. They have quite a bit of heft to their weight and are probably too large in smaller hands.
Only "con" I can think of, other than price, is the glass is very thin at top in comparison with bottom to the point I handle them as delicately as a fine wine glass. That's not much fun.

Hefty!
Nice heavy base, but the walls are not proportionally thick. They look great and add a bit to the whisky drinking experience.
