Riedel Vinum Wine Glasses make every drop of wine taste its best. Riedel revolutionized glassware by customizing the shape of wine glasses to a particular type of wine. Each wine glass is fine-tuned to direct the flow of the wine onto parts of the palate that will best express the flavors and aromas of a specific wine varietal. The fine crystal offers superb clarity so you can experience the wine's color and texture. Moreover, all machine made Vinum stems are completely dishwasher safe. Made of over 24% leaded crystal.

The Riedel Vinum Chardonnay wine glass is perfect for dry white wines, including Chablis and lighter-style Chardonnay. Its narrow rim directs the flow of wine toward the mid-palate, allowing you to appreciate the balance of fruit flavors and acidity. The subtle elongation of the bowl captures the complex characters of the wine�s aromas.

We just purchased our second round of these glasses having reduced to one from a field of 6 in just over a year. Don't get me wrong, however; I bought them again because, for me, they are quite durable considering how delicate they feel. I love my glassware and these added much enjoyment to what was almost daily use. Each washing was in the dishwasher. We actually settled on these after trying another brand that was just slightly too tall to conveniently roll into the dishwasher's top shelf (resulting in quick shearing of all the bases from the first test batch). These are just the right height for us requiring only slight care when opening and closing the dishwashers top drawer. They are light in the hand, thin on the lips, and "sing" each time you pull them from the cabinet. I still consider them a great VALUE even with replacement after one year ... and the dishwasher drawing has been moving a little slower with the new batch!

Great glasses but a little too delicate. Other Vinum glasses in the series don't break as easily but these seem to get chipped or break if you look at them the wrong way. A little too fragile for me - I only keep reordering to keep a matched set.

Looks great, drinks great but very fragile. One glass from a previous set broke in the dishwasher. So only handwashing now which still caused an accident. A glass from the last set I bought shattered in my hands as I was washing it....carefully. Maybe a rinse in hot water is the only safe way.

I can see why Riedel wine glasses are the standard! The Vinum collection is very affordable, though not easy to maintain, and they're surely worth it. I love the thin glass, but the drawback is that if you knock it over, it breaks (I've broken 2). But at [$] a glass, it won't break the bank.
