We ask only that you return the merchandise in new condition, in original boxes, with your receipt. Sorry, no returns on personalized items, custom wine cellars, custom wine racks, cooling units, audiovisual products (CDs, DVDs, etc.), computer software, books, food, or plants. Shipping is refunded only if items were personalized incorrectly in production, the wrong items were shipped, or merchandise was received damaged. The creme de la creme of luxury stems. The Riedel Sommeliers wine glass line is the top-of-the-line series of stemware from the legendary Riedel. Wine experts agree that glassware makes a profound difference on how wines taste. Riedel Sommeliers wine glasses are the benchmark and the most successful series of hand-made glasses in the world. Each Sommeliers wine glass is individually made of 24% lead crystal: the wine glass bowls are mouth-blown into a mould, the stem and base are handcrafted using ancient glass-making methods. Recommend to hand wash.
The Riesling grape variety produces some of the finest white wines, in which high acidity is balanced with residual sugar. The wine also ages exceptionally well. In search of the shape that would best match this new style, Stuart Pigott, a British wine journalist specialising in Riesling, put together a tasting of the finest 1990 vintages from Germany, France and Austria. Riedel sent a selection of glasses for evaluation, suspecting - correctly - that their Chianti Classico glass might prove ideal. This tasting was subsequently repeated in London, Paris and New York, raising awareness among wine writers of the new Riesling styles. The wines were presented exclusively in this glass, which henceforth also goes under the name of the Sommeliers Riesling Grand Cru.
