Can be assembled by one person, but instructions aren't great. Would be a better product if rack was slightly wider to accomidate most bottle sizes and not just std. 750 ml.

It takes two people to put it together. It works great, but mainly with bordeaux bottle sizes. Had problems with champagne and other wider bottles. I will have to find another solution for them. I will likely buy another in the future

This is a good value for a sturdily built rack. Assembly was tricky at the beginning, it may be good to have a second pair of hands, but once the first row is assembled, it goes quickly. Once built it holds a lot of bottles without fear of tipping on the concrete floor of our cave. It initially gives off significant fumes, I believe its from the finish (mahogony), so I've had to keep the door to the cave open for weeks to be sure to vent it. Don't want to be drinking that smell later on!
bought two and bought two more.

The most economical way to store a fair quantity of wine. The rack is fairly easy to assemble once you get the knack of it. It is sturdy and fairly attractive.

Pros:
Efficient Use of Space, Good Capacity, Holds Bottles Securely
Cons:
Assembly is difficult, Not elegant storage, Tough to stain
Best Uses:
Wine Cellar Storage
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This is a good bargain and sturdy, although the quality of the wood could be higher with some cracks and a rather rough finish. It is also proving rather difficult to stain - definitely do it BEFORE you assemble it - and the raw, rough wood soaks up a LOT of stain.
In my case it will be used for storage in my cellar, which is fine, but it is not nearly elegant enough for use in a dining room or in a showpiece cellar rather than a practical storage area.
It is also tough to put together at the start - the trick is to back off the nuts so that there's enough wiggle room to place the shelves, and then tighten all the nuts at once after assembly.
For the price and for practical storage it's a pretty good deal. But if you want a "show" cellar this isn't the droid you're looking for.

The great thing about these wine racks are that you can buy them as you expand your wine collection. They fit together perfectly when it's time to add storage space. It only takes a few minutes to assemble and are very sturdy. A secure storeage for your wine investment!

The only drawback of the product is that in order to begin the assembly, you either need at least two people, or you have to assemble it in a way that is contrary to the directions and potentially risky to the product. I would suggest making that more clear in the product information. Once you get the assembly started so that the rack can stand up by itself, it's a breeze to finish. Also, there were no holes for the back supports, even though the instructions showed them (and I bought two of these). I really like the finished product--it is extremely space efficient storage and attractive as well.

This wine rack is clearly one of the best deals I've come across. I am extremely pleased with it, so much so, I am ordering 4 more. If additional support is desired, it is helpful to apply brackets from the back of the unit to a wall stud, (discreetly.)

A little small for oversized Pinot Noir bottles from Oregon. They fit, but not with two big bottles next to each other. Only other issue is cross bar supports. These have no pre-drilled holes, so are difficult to apply. I did not use mine, and the racks are plenty sturdy.

I like the product and would like to buy it again, however.... That said, it is difficult for one person to initiate the assembly. Many pieces of the threaded rods had burrs on the ends requiring filing before the nuts would go on. Disappointed that the manufacture did not clean up the threaded rods. Will look for other options before purchasing again

The rack would be best if it came with labels, or a means to affix labels to shelving for easy wine "type" identification.
Two shelves were received cracked; wood glue seams to work fine (so far).
