I wouldn't buy this product again!
By Manuel in TucsonVerified Purchaser from Tucson, AZ on 2/8/2008
Cons:
Bottles Slip Out, Finish inconsistent, Flimsy
Best Uses:
Several Bottles
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This product failed to meet my expectations. The finish was inconsistent and rubbed off in spots. The craftsmanship was cheap and had the look as if it was done by an amateur woodworker. Finally, the rack did a poor job of holding bottles in place. Overall, I was very dissatisfied.

These wine racks look good (you could stain and varnish them and make them look even better), hold a good number of bottles and cost a reasonable amount. I have bought a number of the kits over the last two years and they provide most of my wine storage.

Value rack for Bordeaux style bottles
By CorkyVerified Purchaser from Northbrook, IL on 12/28/2007
Pros:
Can add more shelves, Good Capacity, Holds Bottles Securely, Looks good
Cons:
Flimsy, LG base bottles poor fit, Needs to be glued to hold
Best Uses:
Wine Cellar Storage
Describe Yourself:
Frequent Entertainer, Practical, Value Quality buyer
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Holds Bordeaux, Cab. Sauv. Reisling, Sauv. Blanc., style bottles well. But, it dosen't do well with Pinot Noir, Most Chard. style bottles, eg, too tight and a row can not be filled out with this style bottle. Rack must be assembled using a strong glue; something the instructions do not tell you. Time-consuming assembly is a major complaint. You can forget about using this to rack sparkling wines.

Great rack...for the money
By ChrisVerified Purchaser from Falls Church, VA on 11/23/2007
Pros:
Efficient Use of Space, Good Capacity, Holds Bottles Securely
Cons:
Flimsy
Best Uses:
Extra Stock
Describe Yourself:
Bargain Hunter, Frequent Entertainer, Practical, Stylish

Construction is cheap and didn't exactly go together very easily. It looked like the joints were going to come apart until we got the bottle on it. The wine bottles help add to the stability of the rack. It's a great rack and I'd buy it again. Exactly what i was looking for. Holds a lot of bottles and didn't cost much. We bought two racks so we can store 52 bottles it not a lot of space.

Attractive Design, Efficient Use of Space, Good Capacity, Holds Bottles Securely
Cons:
need Elmers glue to build
Best Uses:

Nice wine rack. I have capacity for 208 bottles, and have about 150 bottles lying down. When you assemble the rack, you must use Elmer's glue or the parts will not stay together. The glue keeps everything tight.
