Worked out well.
The finish was uneven with shiny and dull ares. Several areas of chipped and split wood. Poor quality. Not worth the price charged.
I converted a small closet off the kitchen into a 90-bottle cellar. An exisiting closet shelf holds large bottles above the stackable units. It was fun and easy to install, looks great as is or could be stained. Sturdy and stable - I stacked five units. Hint - when assembling, don't press hard in the middle of the cross pieces because that will stress the thinnest part of the wood... press down or hammer on the ends.
works well in my limited space
Before I bought this item my wines were stored on shelves, which made it hard for meto read the labels. These racks display the bottles so I can easily find the one I want.
Product was very easy to assemble and looks exactly as advertised. Will add a stain as the wood is bare. Very happy with product and am ordering another set.
This was a great purchase. I would highly recommend it for those with small amounts of storage space.
I bought one of these to use under a bar. When assembling the unit, which was a "snap",one of the horizpntal scalloped wood segments broke in two! I really did not push on it hard at all. When assembling the unit, be sure to push the horizontal scalloped pieces directly over where they insert into the bases. The wood is made of pine and is extremely brittle. Wood glue wouldn't fix it.
The rack(s) are useful for what it their supposed to do- safely hold wine bottles. Perfect for the rarely used basement corner where I keep them (stack of three). If you are looking to make a statement with your fine wine collection, this rack is probably not for you. If you want a relatively reasonably priced, simple to assemble rack to keep your $15 bottles stored efficiently and out of your way, then a few of these are an excellent choice.
fit nicely under our bar for wine storage
