We bought the unfinished ones and stained them. they look great and they hold alot of bottles. the only problem is different style bottles don't stack securely, but that is a bottle issue not a bin issue.
a bit overpriced for the quality

Pros:
Bourdeaux are secure, Efficient Use of Space, Good Capacity
Cons:
Poor wood finish rough, Rhone bottles slip out, Screw holes are exposed
Best Uses:
Wine Cellar Storage

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This is great for lots of Bourdeaux style bottles, however rhone bottles don't stack well and cannot be loaded up to capacity within each diamond or they slip out. same with 375ml bottles of some desert "fancy" bottles.
Wood finish does not appear as the image, it is more of a purple matte finish rather than a dark mahogany finish - but you get what you pay for. It looks fine in a dim lit room.
The screw holes are recessed but no plugs given, so 2 screws are exposed on each corner, can detract if placed in a dining room.

Depending on the shape of the bottle, bottles may fall out. But that is probably expected with any cubical storage space. One of the boards pre-drilled holes wasn't completely drilled through, but I forced a nail through so it wasn't a big issue.

This rack is space efficient and looks good, but while the outer frame screws together securely, the dividers simply slide in and not secured AT ALL. While standing, it's fine and holds a large number of bottles and is very affordable, but don't tip it or it will fall apart.

A good start for a new cellar, at about $1 per bottle for storage of 8 to 10 cases. Holds 9 square champagne cartons or 16 bordeaux bottles in the big cubes; laying down magnums works in the bottom 1/2 spaces. Top is wide enough to hold those 18-bottle stacking racks, too. Rough paint finish. Easy assembly. Bought a 2nd after building the 1st.

Great because you could stain it to go anywhere, and it's reasonably priced. It was very easy to assemble, and required no tools for assembly. Because of the geometric design, it relies on pressure / counter pressure for the diagonal inserts to stay in place, which was a little odd, but has worked well at full wine capacity. Wood was slightly dusty / unsanded, but not splintery. Best for wine cellar storage rather than display unless you intend to stain or paint it, in which case it would be perfect for a living room / dining room.

We bought 2 of these and stacked them. Very sturdy, they are gorgeous! We shopped around a lot before deciding on which wine rack to buy for our wine room. We decided on these, and we are so pleased with it. I would buy more if we have the room.
