I have seen some of the comments on the site, and I just want to make sure that people understand why we have made the Ravi.
At Ravi we believe that service temperature is key to maximizing your drinking pleasure! All experts agree, if you drink your Red wine at a temperature over 66 degrees Fahrenheit, you will not be getting the full potential out of your glass of red wine. You see over 66 degrees, the taste of alcohol starts taking over and you will lose some of the wine’s personality. We believe that people are more and more aware of the importance of proper service temperature, that is why sales of wine cellars are increasing every year. I am sure that in time, as the US consumer starts drinking the red not at room temperature but at the recommended service temperature, the % of red wine drank will increase to eventually reach the worldwide level. Around 78% of wine drank in the world is red. Drinking red wine should be a refreshing experience!!
The Ravi is made to bring a room temperature red wine down to that perfect service temperature, and it does it very well!!
Cooling Red Wines
Unfortunately, red wines are usually served too warm. The alcohol tends to predominate, concealing the fruit of the wine. As a result, the wine loses its typicity and personality. Ravi, which is intended mainly for red wine, enables you to go instantaneously from room temperature to the proper service temperature, namely between 58 and 66 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ravi is designed to cool a full bottle of red wine. It works for at least one hour once it is out of the Freezer.
Cooling White or Rosé
Ravi is also very useful with white or rosé wines. You can easily cool a bottle that has been sitting on the table too long. No need to fuss with an ice bucket or go back and forth to the refrigerator during your meal. Simply place ravi on the bottle as soon as you feel it’s needed and enjoy your wine as it’s mean to be served: cool until the last drop.
The Concept
Ravi is based on the innovative concept of cooling wine at the very moment it’s served. It’s not the bottle that is cooled, but the wine itself. The cooling process takes place as the wine passes through Ravi. With an internal tube made from the same stainless steel used for fermentation tanks, Ravi maintains the wine’s characteristics and never alters the taste.

I really like using the Ravi, it's definitly the fastest way to chill wine, for Red wine it's a must. I also tried it a few times on whites and it's efficient to keep already chilled white at the proper temperature. Very Impressive & very cleaver!!!!!!!

Does not fulfill its primary purpose of bringing a white wine to serving tempurature from room temperature even pouring very slowly to maximize the cooling.
I was going to give the second one as a gift so now I'm stuck with two.

I love this product. It is amazing how it works. It chills wine quickly as you pour it. The only downside is that it takes a day or two before it is completely dried before you can put it in the freezer to be used again. Also I have a hard time separating the two parts.
Great tool. Using it every weeks. I don't need a cellar anymore.

Item is bulky. It does chill room temp red wine properly, but does not work on white wine. Would not recommend.
I always use the Ravi, it's easy to use and instantly chill my wine..no more waiting!!! Definetly the best wine accessory I tried in a long time....
