Attracative/Functional Wine Cellar
By GenoVerified Purchaser from Oakland, CA on 5/13/2008
Pros:
Adjustable Shelving, Attractive Design, Quiet
Cons:
Innacurate Temperature
Best Uses:
Living or Dining Room

Shelves slide but not easily.

Distance between shelves is tight making it difficult to load and unload.

Would be helpful to have temperature read out on each side rather that a "cooler/warmer" dial.

Nice but not as nice as expected

Pros:
Attractive Design, Quiet
Cons:
Many spaces blocked, Shelves are not attached, Shelves fairly flimsy
Best Uses:

We expected the shelving to be a bit better. The shelves are somewhat flimsy and pull all the way out (too easily), so not sure how secure they will be. Many spaces are blocked by the fans inside the unit - about 8 bottle spaces on each side, so have to put shorter bottles here. Some bottles only fit in backwards (fatter champagne styles). Temperature doesn't get cold enough for directly serving white wines. It is nice looking but not quite at truly pro level for a wine unit. Probably OK for starters, but on pricey side for what you get. Would recommend with cautions as noted.

This is a beautiful cabinet. Only thing that I would change is the shelfing. I would like to see sturdier shelves that are easier to adjust.

Overall, very pleased with the Capri Wine Credenza. I like that it has considerable heft/weight and it is extremely pleasing to the eye. There are two comments I have with respect to improving the product. First, determining a specific temperature is a challenge. I should be able to se the temperature straight away and be done with it. Second, I am unable to utilize all the shelf space on the very top. The bottles I have on the top shelf are not unique in size or shape, however I do need to leave one space vacant. Aside from these two coments, I am pleased with my purchase.
