Not nearly as stylish as similar glasses I've purchased from Wine Enthusiast. There were inexpensive and look cheap.
The trend to giant wine glasses seems excessive, so the size was great; I'm torn about having the type of glass etched on the base - in some ways, I like it; in some ways, it seems silly and unnecessary. What can I say? I can drink Chardonnay from them.
We entertain a lot, so these glasses are great for that purpose. Also, host wine tasting parties, and these glasses are perfect for doing so. Look fragile, but hold up well even in the dishwasher, which is nice. The glasses are also the perfect size for Chardonnay. Good value. I have bought the whole set, and just ordered additional red wine glasses.
They feel nice to hold and look great. They were an excellent choice instead of more costly lead crystal stemware.
I am a beginner in the wine world. During the 70's I spent several years in Europe drinking wine almost every day, but that was in the Army stationed in a small German village located in Bavaria.
I like these glasses because they simply show what wine this particular glass was designed for. Following the advice on this company's site, you can begin to acquire some knowledge of judging a good wine.
I purchased the entire Wine Enthusiast Stemware set. It's great to have glasses now available for all occasions.
These are great glasses, lightweight and delicate, but they are also durable. Very moderatly priced for every day use. This is the second shipment of these glasses I have ordered because I like them so much. This time the box came completly crushed, inspite of the "fragile stamp" on the box. Not one glass was broken because of the superb way they were packed.
I expected these to be a heavier weight crystal for the price. They are a good shape for enhancing the flavor of the wine and attractive.
