We have the Pinot Noir and now the Cabernet glasses. We find it hard to open a bottle of our favorite wine without using our Riedel glasses and even harder when paying the exorbitant prices at a restaurant and they serve the wine in a glass that is reminiscent of a jelly jar! I must admit that I agree with another post, however, and that the Cabernet glass will very nicely handle not only Cab, but also syrah and zin.

As the manufacuter states the glass does make the wine taste its best. By their make and feel the glasses also increase the pleasure of the wine drinking experience. I don't consider the glasses to delicate but some people might; they aren't a mug.

The only complaint I have is how delicate they are, so I'm afraid to dry them by hand. Though, when I drip dry them it's difficult to get all the spots out, especially around the rim.

The Vinum collection is stylish in a practical way. It works for any occassion, formal, informal, casual, etc.

Riedel glasses do make a difference in your enjoyment of wine. Perform your own taste tests...pour two glasses of wine, one in a Riedel and one in your normal glass. Smell the difference, swirl the difference, taste the difference. You'll be convinced, too.

The only knock, is boy are these things FRAGILE...

At the end of the day, the enjoyment you get from this product, the enjoyment you get from your wine...makes the necessary exercising of caution so very much worthwhile.

I love these glasses so much, because they really do improve the experience of enjoying a wine! They are a good value, but they are finely made and have to be washed by hand. I wish they were cheaper, but I wish wines weren't getting so expensive, either.
