This was a great buy. I looked all over the web and kept coming back to this site and bought the sets. Now I have 8 glasses for friends, family, etc. AND 8 whites. (I bought 2 sets) The wine DOES taste better in a better glass, don't let someone who doesn't know wine tell you any differently. These glasses are great. Just be careful. I never use soap, just rinse the heck out of them. The brush to clean these might be a good buy

While these glasses are crystal they are machine made and therefore reasonably priced in Riedel's line. They have the look and feel of handblown with cut and polished rims and are appropriate for everyday use as well as dinner parties. I use the crystal wash you sell and love it. I have not put them in the dishwasher, but never would with any fine crytal.

I used to think glassware was glassware, but over the years I have had to admit that wine tastes BEST from a Reidel wine glass. The delicate rims do make a difference, and the shape is wonderful for getting the 'nose' of a Pinot Noir or a Cabernet. I just keep adding more stemware !
