Let me review this further down the road. We have a brand new kitchen, all new appliances that we have just chosen and installed (Viking) this week. The handle looks good with the other appliances.
THIS IS BY FAR THE NOISIEST APPLIANCE even noisier than the dishwasher!
The fan NEVER goes off. It's half full and I have not opened the door in 24 hours. The room is not hot. There is plenty of space around it. If SILENT weren't in your description I might not have noticed. Reconsider your advertising and I'll let you know if it gets quieter.

Unit was backordered for several weeks, but once it arrived, I was very pleased with the styling. Not loud by any means, but louder that the kitchen frig. Didn't expect that. Very good temperature control.

Once the refrigerator cools it is perfectly quiet. However, the temperature gauge is not accurate -- we had to set it at 64 degrees to get 60 degrees. Now that it's set it maintains the temperature. We inserted a thermometer in the unit and played with the settings until we got it where we wanted it.
I knew the shelves didn't adjust and that they don't hold wide bottles but that's the only reason I didn't give it a 5 rating.

The product was advertised as being "silent," but it has a steady, loud buzzing hum. It never shuts off, even when desired temperature is reached. The racks are too close together to hold Chardonnay-style bottles unless every other rack is removed. The 18-bottle capacity is reduced to 9 bottle capacity for these bottles.
I received this as a gift and 2 months after the warranty expired the product simply stopped working! A week after I had removed a bottle I find the temperature "stuck" at 75 degrees and it cannot be changed. A sure sign of shoddy workmanship and extremely poor quality control. Unless you're willing to gamble that the product will last longer than 14 months, I cannot understand why anyone would buy it.

Good for a casual enthusiast. Many bottle styles will not fit on the shelves properly and I needed to remove a shelf. I may get 15 bottles in maximum.

I really like the unit. It fits nicely in a spot in the kitchen and is extremely quiet. I now drink more white wine because I don't have to remember to put it in the food refrigerator beforehand.
I have not checked the temperature for accuracy so can't comment on that.

In these days of high energy costs and a drive to cut waste, to make a product without an on-off switch is absurd and insulting. I do not have wine in it yet and to turn it off and on again I will have to drag out from it's under-the-counter space near my bar to unplug and plug it. If a switch would have added [$], say, would that hurt marketing?

I am a novice to this enlivening world of wine; however, the Wine Enthusiast web site facilitated me on making my conclusive decision. From this, I choose the 18 bottle copper trim door wine refrigerator because it blended exceptionally well with the tone of the kitchen. The other attributes comprised of removable shelves, Temperature control of 54-66º F, thermoelectric cooling technology, thermo pane glass door, and cost. Well, the unit preformed to my satisfaction because the ambient temperature within the unit maintains a constant temperature of 54º F. Also, the fan is relatively quiet. On the other hand, the fan momentum will increase when I place additional bottles in the cooler. However, the fan speed will lessen when the optimal temperature has been achieved, 54º F. On the whole, I am enjoying my first wine cooling unit.

This product is everything the reviews said. It is very quiet, cool running, and keeps a constant temperature. Nice looking too. We had to put it on top of a counter because it's a little too low and too small to sit on the floor and still comfortably access wine.

I purchased this for my mother who appreciates fine wine, but lives in a small townhouse. I assumed she would put it in the garage and enjoy building a small collection of great wines. But, she loves it so much she has made room for it in her dining room- the copper fascade is really very elegant. And, by the way, it keeps the wine exactly the right temp as an added bonus!
Received as a gift and really like. At first I had a problem with it being pretty loud and the temperature not staying constant. I took out all the bottles made sure it was level (like the manual says) and now it works great. Virtually no noise and the temperature has stayed the same. Overall a great wine refrigerator!

Bought it as a gift for my husband. It is small, compact, and fits under our counter top. It is very quiet....but best of all...it holds the longer bottles.

I bought this wine fridge as a gift for my boyfriend. I wanted something really quiet because he is a light sleeper and other appliances kicking off and on often wake him. This has been great so far - it really is very silent. It has a great look and design. The only complaint is that the shelving is so close that you have to pull the shelves out in order to get bottles in rather than just easily sliding bottles in and out. I guess easy access would just make us big lushes so this is probably a good thing too!

We were pleased to find this small, narrow refrigerator for a small, narrow space in our kitchen. The first unit did have a defect, but [...]. This second unit works perfectly and we're very pleased. It is attractive and very functional. We highly recommend it.

I bought it to fit under a desk in my kitchen. The dimensions stated were perfect; however they did not include the feet or hinge on top which make it too tall. I'm looking how to modify the feet so it's 1/2" shorter. Other than that, perfect.

I've been wanting one, but have put off for some time. I wanted a small one, but not too small, so the 18 bottle size works for me. I like the temp control so I can use for both red or white. It fits in a small space, so for my condo, it works perfectly.

Does what its designed to do--keep wine at a consistent temperature and is quiet. A couple of degrees off & some bottles are a tight fit. But all in all at this price point and for my purposes I'm satisfied. Did come a little dented in the back, which seems to be a constant for most wine coolers based on my reading of reviews for all brands.

Perfect for small spaces. The shelves are a bit tight but that is because a few of my wines have "fat" bottoms. But regular 750 ml bottles fit perfectly. I have it in my kitchen and even when the kitchen heats up (I love to cook), it maintains a consistent temperature of 54 degrees. It is very, very quiet; I have yet to really hear the fan. You certainly can't beat the price and I absolutely love it! A real deal!

I have not found any "cons" yet. So far it is a really great product. I definitely would recommend this to our friends. It was a Christmas present for my husband and it arrived when he was here and the picture of the unit was all over the box, so it was impossible for him not to see what it was. So we installed it immediately.

I store most of my wine in racks in my basement. This refrigerator is in the kitchen. It's handy to have wine right at hand and not to have to go to the basement to get a bottle. I track target drink dates for my wines, and put a selection of the ones that are currently due in the frig.
I bought a Sunbeam digital refrigerator/freezer thermometer to use with the frig. It indicates that the frig temperature is about 4 degrees low, so I just set it 4 degrees above my target temperature, which is 57 degrees F. The unit is quiet, and maintains a constant temperature.

The racks do not hold pinot bottles at all. Only for thin bottles. Very cheap racks. Seems like everything is poorly made. It does however look nice and keep the temperature like it is supposed to.

This wine refrigerator really is silent and maintains an even temperature. It has an attractive, industrial design, and allows an easy view of the bottles inside. The shelves, however, do not hold some of the newer style bottles if they are too "round around the middle", or too tall. I only wish I would have gotten one that holds more bottles!!

Temperature does not go low enough on this model for optimal storage of white wines. The lowest temperature is only 54 degrees farenheit

We bought it to put up a few finer wines for special occasions. Once it reaches the proper temperature, the fans run seldom, and then only at low speed. Almost totally silent, on level with a quiet laptop at idle. Standard 75cl bottles fit well, but anything wider (champagne or other sparkling wines, some chardonnays, etc.) make for a very tight fit. Shelves can be turned over to hold two bottles in a staggered position from the 3-bottle shelves, allowing sufficient room for oversize bottles, but reducing total capacity. A minor point, but worth considering if bottle count is important.

When first unpacked and plugged in, the refrigerator made a terrible racket (fan hitting the inside cowling). After some mechanic work, I fixed the problem and everything was great for 2 weeks. Then it stopped working altogether. I am NOT a satisfied customer!

I ordered this cooler based on a review in the Wall St Journal. It operates as advertised--it's quiet and efficient. My only complaint is that slightly bigger bottles (e.g., champagne) don't fit into the shelf very well, but putting it in neck first usually solves the problem.

We live in a desert environment. Summer air conditioning isn't cool enough. Winter inside is too hot, and outside it's too cold...as is my regular refrigerator. My new wine refrigerator keeps it perfect year long. I tested it by purchasing a case of the same wine. I put half in the coolest spot inside, and half in the wine refrigerator. After a bit of time I opened a bottle from each location and tried them out on a friend without telling him of my test. The wine from my wine refrigerator won hands down. My friend thought it was more expensive. Now I can serve a reasonably priced wine and smile while I do so.

The shelves leave minimal for wide bottles, such as champagne. Good starter fridge for those needing miniaml storage, but i wish i bought the next larger size.

I checked with Customer Care and was advised that the fan noise I hear is normal, and that it is also normal for the unit to run 24/7, which I had not expected.
