Have had the cooler for over a year. Recently has begun to make noise. Was very quiet at first but now not so. All bottles fit well and it cools everything to a nice temperature. Everyone comments about it when they enter my dining area.

I bought this for my husband for Father's Day and he loves it! It's perfect for our small wine collection and fits perfectly on our countertop. There is also virtually NO noise from it. You don't even know it's there.

This product is nice for a novice, but it is poor for most bottles of wine due to the fact that most bottles do not fit into the racks. A little pricey for what you get. Keeps proper temperature though. I would not reccomend it!

Cons:
Shelves are too cramped

This refrigerator does just what it says. I've had it about 1 month, and it keeps consistent temps. The shelves are too close together, I just keep about 8-10 bottles at a time. Not a significant problem compared to the ease of use and counter top size.

This is great until you buy bottle sizes other than Bordeau - see the fine print. With the rounder bottles the cooler will only take 9 bottles. I see they have added an explanation which wasn't there when I purchased one.

Good basic model
By JBVerified Purchaser from Sugar Land, TX on 5/31/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Efficient Use of Space, Holds Bottles Securely, Quiet
Cons:
Doesn't hold larger wines
Best Uses:
In The Kitchen
Describe Yourself:
Bargain Hunter, Practical
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I like the sizing of the unit itself and how quiet it is. I had read past reviews and understood that it only handles particular styles/sizes of bottles. It is unfortunate that it cannot hold the larger 750ml bottles like sparkling wines, etc. If it could, I would have rated this as a perfect model.

Choose carefully

Pros:
Attractive Design, Efficient Use of Space
Cons:
Bottles don't fit
Best Uses:
In The Kitchen
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Fits only "bordeau" bottles. My Shiraz, Zinfandel, Pinot Grigio, and Merlot bottles were too long, preventing the door from closing. You can position the bottles on top of a shelf and get the door to close, but then the shelves do not slide out easily. Seems like a design flaw with the back of the shelf.
Too bad, otherwise this was a nice unit.

I bought this for my boyfriend, to fit in the space over his apartment-sized refridgerator. We are both new to wine collecting & tasting. This is a great starter size & it's VERY quiet.

My husband and I wanted to keep our wine slightly chilled like they do at our favorite winery. We needed something to fit on our kitchen counter under the cabinets. This was the only refrigerator we found with dimensions that would work and hold 12 bottles of wine. It is quiet, maintains a fairly constant temperature, and matches our stainless and black appliances. We're very happy with our decision to purchase this wine refrigerator.

I just wish I could have been given the option to order it without the wine enthusiast name plate. I prefer a plain look. It doesn't look bad and it is fairly small but for my own taste I just think it would have looked better without it.

Nice But Cramped
By Mr. ZinfandelVerified Purchaser from Mokena, IL on 4/29/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design
Cons:
Flimsy Racks, Not Enough Space Inside
Best Uses:
Wine Cellar Storage
Describe Yourself:
Practical
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Refrigerator is not deep enough. Bottles that are taller than normal barely fit inside. Shelves are not far enough apart. You have to pull a shelf out to retrieve a bottle: an over-sized bottle will cause the shelf above to be pulled out at the same time.

Pros:
Precise Temperature, Quiet
Cons:
Too Small
Best Uses:

Very dissappointed in the size. Any bottles that were not of the basic standard size do not fit. Almost no Reisling and few ponit grigios fit.

Wine Enthusiast Response: The Wine Enthusiast Silent Wine Refrigerators line is not intended to store Riesling size bottles. They are just simply too tall. All standard 750mL Bordeaux size bottles will fit just fine. Simply click on the video icon below the product image to the left, to see our demonstration.
