Worm totally useless when faced with composite cork. I had similar unit that lasted for years and was much more sturdy than these newbies. If it wasn't so much trouble I would send it back.

After opening maybe 6 bottles this opener froze in a position and will not move. It was replacing a similar unit I had uased for over 20 years that finally had some fatigue and the screw broke. I could not recommed this product to anyone.
