I purchased two of these. The first one was hard to assemble. I had to rely on my wood working skills and make minor modifications. Not all the parts fit together well. The second one fit together nicely and was a breeze to assemble. I recommend using a good wood glue as well as following the directions to a tee! The finished product is sturdy and attractive. I would purchase more of these.

I was pleased with this product, but was disappointed that some nicks were present when it arrived...it generally does a good job of displaying my wine as well as serving as a place of storage.

I have not enjoyed "Some assembly required" as much since playing with an Erector set I received for Christmas at age 11. A practical piece with good value.

I first ordered 6 cubes because I was not sure of the design I wanted. Upon "playing" with them in the wine cellar I decided I would like to build wider and higher and ordered another 4. There is still plenty of room for a picture and additional sotrage on another wall. It looks even better than the picture in the catalog. I must say it turned out better than I had anticipated and was a lot less expensive than the custom racking system the contractor proposed to build. Purchase these and spend the savings on your wine!

The drilled holes are too small. I drilled them the next size larger which made assembly easy. You need a power screwdriver! Each rack took 30 to 45 minutes to assemble.

I love how these look but having lost a really expensive bottle of wine from a flimsy rack, I really appreciate how well they hold the bottles. I bought 4 and will come back for more in time.
They were not hard to assemble although I benifited from all those that wrote reviews before me. I drilled all the holes slightly deeper and larger.

When it is all put together, it looks very nice (nicer than in the photos). But, as others warned, it is tough to put together. The pre-drilled holes are not drilled wide or deep enough. I had to use a drill to make all the holes bigger. Even after doing that, the screws were still difficult to get in. One screw even cracked the frame, but I left it like that rather than ruin it further trying to get the screw out.

The rack looks very good but unfortunately one of the wood pieces cracked while putting it together. It was not forced or had undo pressure exerted on it while putting it together. It was fairly simple to put together, which was nice.

The racks are great. I bought five to organize my pantry and to get all of the wine bottles off the floor next to my wine cellar/cooler. They are a bit of a pain to put together as I spent most of two evenings doing so. The instructions could be clearer. Lay everything out and look it over carefully before starting. Overall, though, it seems to be a very good product.

We ordered 4 of these stacking cubes and were very happy with their appearance. One of the four broke when we tried to assemble it. The wood split when the screw was placed in the the assembly. While assembling the remaining cubes we had to drill the existing holes to accommodate the screws to avoid further breakage.
We will continue to finish our wine cellar with these stacking cubes even though we will have to adapt the existing holes and drill them accordingly. Thank You

A number of pieces were split or otherwise damaged. Required gluing and finish touchup prior to use. If my husband was not handy with tools I don't know what I would have done to assemble this product and make it useful. Now that it has been repaired and assembled it looks presentable and fits in the very specific space we have for it.

Stain and finish were applied rather sloppily, but the overall effect is consistent. Some of the wood was cracked, missing square edges, or otherwise of poor quality. If you're looking for fine furniture, these won't do. But look no further if you want practical, modular, wine storage at a reasonable price. And a power screwdriver helps a lot, too!
