Pros:
Comes In A Nice Case
Cons:
It Broke After 8 Months, Poor WSynthetic Corks
Best Uses:
Keep It For The Nice Box
Describe Yourself:
Frequent Entertainer, Practical
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This particular Screwpull product worked just great until it became difficult removing synthetic corks. Two months later it finally broke leaving a regular cork impailed on its screw. This may prove to be a test of its warranty. It did, however, open as many as 75-80 corks before breaking.
It broke after only 6 months use.

I expected more from a product that is this costly. We entertain often, and it broke after 6 months use. One of the plastic tips on the movable gripper side snapped off. This corkscrew made opening wine bottles a smooth operation until it broke. My all-chrome rabbit-style corkscrew, which I have owned for 5 + years and though not as smooth as the Screwpull, still works.
After using it, wouldn't be without one.

It works on "fake" corks which are so difficult with an ordinary corkscrew.

Easiest, and most accurate, cork puller we've ever used! I can insert and pull a cork straight out using just one finger! Still need 2 or 3 fingers to get the cork off the screw, but I am working on my technique. My wife, who often broke the cork when we used the common rabbit corkscrew, now looks like a pro cork puller with this easy to use device.

I use it daily.
Like that it doesn't take up a lot of room as those do that are mounted on stand.
This product should come with at least one replacement screw.
The best opener I have ever used!

If you are looking for a high quality, minimal effort corkscrew this is it. Workmanship, quality, and appearance (stainless steel in a leather case) are top notch. It will pull any cork from any bottle (synthetics included) with very little fuss and effort. Just get a firm grip on the bottom and rotate the handle, very easy.

We have owned many wine openers, all were easy to use but not very durable. I purchased this opener because it came with a 10 year warranty. Love it Opens bottle very smoothly.

This is absolutely easy to use, BUT we have had difficulty in this screwpull NOT releasing the cork after opening. We have to manipulate the device to eventually get it to release the cork. I would think, what with the quality of this device, that this would not happen.

Easy to use, no fighting the bottle, the cork pops right out after you open the bottle, and the foil cutter works perfect the first time.
LM-400 Best Corkscrew on the Market

The LM-400 replaced a "Rabbit" style oorkscrew that flew apart with only five months use. I use the LM-400 a minimum of four times a week; and more often when we entertain. I have owned it for two months and it has peformed flawlessly on all types of wine bottles. It is expensive, but well worth the investment. I am convinced it is the best on the market; so much so, that I'm buying one for my son and his wife for Christmas.
