The contents of the item were fine. The cheap wooden box it came in needs a lot of work.
This was gift to me from my wife. I opened it up and the lid became detached from the main body of the box. Very disappointed! Obviously this box was not made to last a long time. You would think from the cost of this item, someone would do some quality controls. I sent it back and asked for a refund. I wouldn't recommend this item until the box is constructed properly.

I think that the concept is excellent and the packaging is perfect.However, I found the aromas to be very weak. This may be on purpose so as to help me learn to pickup aromas that are subtle but as a teaching tool I would think that it would be easier to learn an aroma if you could get a decent snout full. Once you know the aroma you could back the vial away from your nose to gain the ability to pick up subtle aromas.To be fair I may have received an older batch of aromas. [...]

I was excited to get it and this is fun to use but I am not sure if the makers of this actually tried to use it themselves. If so they would have seen when you open it the top often salms down on your hands as it is top heavy. When it falls the little bottels come falling out. Not Good! And it was not cheap so I would think that the design should have been better.

top of box should lean back a ittle more
Looks appealing, nice box, that's about it.
Several of the vials can hardly be smelled and for the money, I have seen much better.
I will not recommend this product to anyone.
A regretable expense.

We found that some of the aromas had no detectable scent. I would assume the product was recently manufactured since it was out of stock for a while. Possibly those vials are defective.
Very attractive packaging, although the small bottles seem to fall out of their slots unless laid flat.
For the price, I was somewhat disappointed. I would not buy another one as a gift.

This kit is such a help. Plus it is yet another way to make a night with friends memorable and fun.
I used this kit for a new years eve party. Several of the viles of aromas did not have a smell at all. I thought it might be my nose so I kept them out for my quests..but no one could smell hay, plum, cork, and about 5 others. Next time I have a wine tasting I will go to the farmers market and put the aromas in small dixie cups

I am on my 2nd kit and, am having a hard time returning this one. the kit has 6 aromas that do not have any smell. I have not tried the tast on either kit. [...]

Great product to improve your appreciation of wine. Using the scents while tasting wine will change your perception of the subtleties and complexity of the wine. Lots of fun to learn while also enjoying wine!!
