Would never buy again
By Ed the wine enthusiast from Naples, Florida on 8/19/2008
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Several months ago I purchased “Tribeca” 20 bottle wine cellar. After examining the piece and understanding its features, my disappointment could not have been greater.

No interior lightning. If it has, I have not been able to find it.
The chrome pull-out shelves could not be more badly built. They are difficult to pull out and constantly get out of alignment.
The temperature setting is horrible. In order to adjust the temperature, I have to keep rotating the dial until, one hour later, I can get the reading from a manual thermostat I placed inside the unit.
The interior is made out of very rough plastic.

I had decided not to complain, because as usual, this is a very difficult process with large companies. But today, after reviewing your catalog and seeing a “4-star customer rating” of similar piece, I had to send this message.

This is a very good little cellar. We live in a hot area so we looked for a small wine fridge to keep the bottles at a reasonable temperature. Since this was going to go into our living room, we looked for something quiet and that would also look nice. This was just what we needed. It hardly makes noise, has a nice design, and of course keeps the wine at a reasonable temperature so we don't have to worry when it gets hot.

Needed to replace a older wine cooler with about the same capacity. This one looks great in the dining room and fits in nicely with the decor. It is great for storing a small quantity of wine.

The shelves are a bit flimsy and a little too close. It can be difficult to get the bottles in and out. Otherwise, it is attractive, and a nice size. One of the only wine coolers on the market that met my needs for size and appearance.

Very disappointed with the product. Defective out of the box. Thermostatic control did not work. Unit would not cycle and had very disturbing humming noise. Very little information in product manual. Drainage hose not installed properly - had to improvise to fix. [...]

This fits well with our decor. Easy to start up and fill. The temperature took a little bit of adjusting to get correct, but seems okay now. The shelves work fine, but could be a little more sturdy when full. The standard bottles fit well, but any long or overly rounded bottles don't. Overall, for the price, look and ease of use we are very happy with it.

The racks are too close together and do not allow for easy movement when bottles are stored above or below the rack you're trying to use.

I got this as a Christmas present for my husband, He loved it! Couldn't believe the value. Really nicely made for the money. Holds just enough bottles but doesn't take up that much room. Super quite. I think it will fit into pretty much any decor. I do wish at least one shelf held the large size bottles but over all, Great!!!

This console is extremely quiet and keeps our red wine at a perfect temperature. It's a nice looking piece of furniture and not industrial looking. This was important to us as it's in our formal dinning room. We are very pleased with this product.
