I purchased a 12-bottle and a 40-bottle unit, thinking the unit was "modular." I thought I would have more flexibility in configuring the two units into one unit to fit the specific dimensions I was trying to create. Unfortunately, the units can only be assembled in one way. So they are "expandable" but not "modular." [...]

The was a gift for my mother in law. The assembly required the use of a rubber mallet (we improvised), but it didn't take long to assemble. We also filled the rack with 12 of our favorite wines, and all of the bottles fit neatly. I'd recommend this product.

I thought the wood would have had a better finish and sanded for a smoother look. Assembly was a little tough trying to get all of the notches to line up. One of the champagne bottles I bought didn't fit, but all of my wine bottles have fit so far. Once assembled it is very sturdy and is a great complement to my kitchen. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I ordered four of the rack sets, and didn't realize that I need clips to hold the four together. That should have been pointed out when I ordered them, so that I could have gotten them at the same time. Now they are sitting on the floor, because I can't put them together. The racks are nice - no problem with them.
