Very useful tool for bringing wines to their full flavors quickly. It really does work - you can taste the difference immediately. Very easy to operate with built-in timer. As well, quite the topic of conversation! I would not use this on a vintage wine since too much quick breathing could kill it.

Significantly increases the quality of newly opened wine. I was shocked by the improvements in both the bouquet and the taste of the wine after treating it with the Rouge02. The button can be slightly problematic, but it is simple to fix and well worth any minor inconveniences.

Attach the air probe to housing, place probe into wine bottle with housing sitting on top, turn it on. It areates for a minute and turns itselt off.
Mellow's the taste.
Easy to use and clean.

Turns on when not ready as the lock mechanism unlocks too easily.

Great product
By ShantonVerified Reviewer from Framingham, MA on 1/9/2008
Pros:
Enhances wine immediately, Portable, Quick and easy to use
Cons:
Loud, No off switch, Poor Instructions
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This product does exactly what I purchased it for, it aerates my wine in 1 minute. I do not have to wait an hour or 2 to enjoy some of my favorite wines any longer.

I only rated it 4 out of 5 due to some minor design flaws. The button to start the device is enormous. It takes up the entire top portion of the handle. This makes the button easy to start accidentally. This would not be a problem if the device had an off switch and was quieter. When it is turned on, it rumbles loudly for 1 full minute and there is no way to stop it. I accidentally push the button every time I handle it.

The other issue I had was with the battery compartment. I almost broke the aerator, while trying to open it up to insert the batteries. There are no instructions showing which end needs to be opened.

For the benefit of what this product does, I can certainly look past these minor design flaws. I cannot complain too much, as it does exactly what I purchased it for. I look forward to the next version of this aerator, so that I can rate it 5 out of 5.

This item stopped working about a week after I purchased it. I was traveling after that. I don't know if I can return this item because it doesn't work but if not, I'll certainly not be making a purchase from you in the near future.

Too quick to buzz

Attractive Design, Comfortable to Hold
Cons:
Too Delicate
Best Uses:
Domestic

Aerator is effective although perhaps no more so than one that isn't motorized. Off/on switch is easily triggered and the device will buzz and consume battery power even when merely set onto the kitchen counter.

It just Works

My wife and I enjoy having a bottle of wine a couple times per week. We usually don't have time to aerate our wine for 30 minutes before consuming it. This handy little device gives your wine a quick start on the aeration. It works like a charm. You can taste the difference in your wine right away. It's softer and tastes like it's been aerating for awhile. Just as advertised, your 1st half bottle of wine gets aerated in the bottle in just 30 seconds. We love it! We don't open a bottle anymore without using it. Then, by the time we get to the rest of the bottle, it's had time to breathe on its own.

Easily broken. The tube connecting to the motor breaks easily and the connection to the housing is weak. My first one was inoperative on delivery and the second succumbed shortly after. There are so many other great aerating products out there besides this one.
