Don't let the picture fool you, this is for larger decanters. I have a nice crystal decanter with an opening about 1 1/2 times a standard wine bottle and this is almost too large. It fits in, but won't sit down as you would expect. Regardless, it does what it says it will do. We opened two identical bottles for some friends, decantered both at the same time, one with this aerator and one without. Only I knew which was which, but everyone quickly selected the correct bottle as already having a more open flavor. I am pleased.
